Turbo? Or N/A?

Lol fair enough. I'm trying to consider other things like brakes, suspension, handling, all that sort of stuff. Not just the engine, but stuff to make the chassis cope with the engine

If you can build reliable turbo b series with around 250hp for £3k with the chassis also modified to suit the mods, then fair play. Are you taking ecu and tuning into account also? Thats the best part of £500 at least.

Now instead of stating its 'pure balls', why not look at what im writing. I'm speaking from experience, not just making a recommendation.

More to my point of goals. The Thread asked "Turbo or N/A pros/cons". Nothing asking about chassis setups.

People should explain and ask questions properly then they can actualy be answered.

Anything that is going to be running big power N/A or Turbo will need other mods to the car to compensate regardless.

Also any worth while engine build will require a remaped ECU and tuning N/A or Turbo.

But surely both these things (chassis and tuning) need to be taken into account in the budget?

If not, then it's ridiculously stupid to try building an engine with big power that has standard brakes and suspension and untuned.

appreciate all advice given on my thread..i did take in to account chassis and braking but i just wanted more info/advice on what build to go for

Thread title!! " TURBO OR N/A, PROS/CONS nothing asking about how to modify or build the rest of the car. And personaly i consider the Chassis budget and Engine (power) budget to be two totaly different things.

yes - and one of the pros/cons is that with turbo/more power the chassis needs to be further modified to suit the extra power.

uugghh

So would an N/A build just the same.

With a low budget engine build you would only be looking at low power turbo build so the modifications to everything else would be no different either way. N/A or Turbo.

Its only when your building a big power turbo that you need to look into stronger shafts, big expensive clutches and so on.

My mate runs a 300hp integra turbo on just a decent paddle clutch standard shafts and gearbox. Uses it as a daily and has done a few drag events.

Bigger brakes and so on are needed when increasing power and speed regadless of how you get that power.

He's not going to be building a 350hp+ b16 with £3k any time soon so i dont know where you are coming from with needing so many "chassis" upgrades.
