SSB EK4 kanjo inspired

Quick update...

So after much thought I've decided arches are getting done then I'll be looking at a B18c6 swap!

I love the car but looks aren't enough anymore that D14's gotta go, need more power!
Updates will be minimal got a few things coming but will be the end of the aesthetics going for the performance now :naughtyx:

Not a big fan of the paint to be honest but you saved an EK from the scrap heap so i'll close an eye on that one ;););)

Nice build keep the updates coming :)):)):))

That's fair all criticism welcome mate! If I'm honest I weren't keen on it at first but saw a couple Kanjo ek's and thought they were different :)
Thanks plenty to come this year ;)

So I got bored yesterday and decided to throw on a couple bits which I've had since before Christmas I think

Got my rear lip on, it's genuine but unfortunately all the tabs inside are missing so doesn't fit how it should (will get a proper EK9 bumper with the lip before my arches get done though so these are my beater bumpers haha)

Had to use some hardware from spoon sports, did the job but leaves a gap on the offside but not the nearside due to having no tabs left

Also chucked on my EK9 grille but still no lip YET:naughty:

The rear lip is looking good bud! all it needs now is the Mugens on the car and that Spoon lip ;)

And itll look amazing. Love this colour. I dnt like prefaces but this is very nice
Thanks! Should look way better on the Mugens and I prefer pre facelift but with a lip, driving me crazy not having one haha

Update for those who care haha

Rear has been almost completely stripped, just a tiny bit of sound deadening left will get rid of the trim around the windows and probably the roof lining at some point:nice:

Not as noisy as I thought apart from when it's raining :nono:

Also got a pre facelift ek4 cluster, probably my favourite apart from ek9 cluster of course, also swapped over the odometer for the original mileage :nice:

Make sure your speed is calibrated, I did the same for mine and knocked the speed out by 30mph because the needle moves on its own with the needle removed.

Was out by 20mph at first, took it off and tried again was out by 5mph but got it spot on now had someone drive Infront to make sure as well ;)

Car is looking good inside, clusters as well, i also notice seat covers! ;) what did you use to get the deadening off the body? a lick of paint and she'll be looking good as new!

Thanks bud its getting there! paid too much to not put covers on them;)

Just used a hammer and a flat head screwdriver for the awkward bits, no ice or pipe freeze and was done in fairly warm weather :)

Just had a wee read through this. Good save on the car man. Paint looks fresh. Liking where the car is going.

Have you looked into getting an sir lip? Probably just as hard to come by but they look lovely in my opinion.

How hard was swapping the mileage over? Got a b swapped ej and want to change the clocks but retain the original mileage like you.

Cheers mate, balls really started rolling for it now.

I've thought about it, but like you said it's just as hard to come by an SiR lip unfortunately

Honestly it was way easier than you'd think, took probably 20 mins (and that was me being careful taking my time)
The two plastic covers on the front just unclip from behind, the clock for the mileage has four screws on the back, template is held on with 2 screws and the needle pops off (with a bit of force using a fork or scissors)
Couple vids on YouTube that show you how to do it just gotta be careful don't wanna damage it as you'll be looking at it all the time haha

Tidy little ek! Be interesting to see where you go with it. Hoping my little brother gets something similar when he passes his test! :)

Thanks bud!
They're good first cars, not a lot to go wrong other than rust and a few leaky places so easy to work on and fun to drive :))
