Track and Road Suspension Setup

Hi guys,
Going to get my suspension setup again for track.
Ive looked at stevenek9's and jesse888's old posts and the general settings were:

Front camber 3
Rear camber 1.5 or 2
Toe 0

Are you guys and anyone still running these settings, anyone running anything different?

Currently my car has zero understeer, immense front grip, but the rear is lairy sometimes you have to catch it as it cant keep up with the front.

Mine is running 1.6 front and 1.3 rear with 0 toe.
Will be on track with it at the end of the month so will let you know!
Driving it on the road seems good, plenty of grip but does oversteer a little.

Brilliant thanks mate, what tyres are you running? Im running 195 parada spec2 all round, in the future i will try ad08r's.
 
I'm running:

Front Camber -2.5
Rear camber -1

Front Toe 0
Rear Toe 0.1

Keep them coming, would be good to see everyones setup on this thread, and feedback on how their car drives.
As for me need to dig out my alignment sheet.
 
Mines is the following IIRC. Road car and feels good, felt spot on at Rockingham too. Oversteers rather than understeers.

Front Camber: - 2.6
Rear Camber: - 2.3

Front Toe: 0
Rear Toe: 0

Not sure on the rear toe, I have a feeling its at 0 but I remember trying a bit of toe out at some point and it felt good. Was just that my tyres were wearing really fast so I think we changed it back. Also work noting I have an EK9 front ARB and EK4 rear ARB so I'd imagine a EK9 with the same set up will feel a bit more oversteer-y.
 
I've stepped my camber down slightly now, this is mainly for traction at the front and braking grip on the rear, with my car being more powerful than an N/A one.
I couldn't actually tell you what the settings are as I eyeballed them before brands but I'd guess
-2front
-1rear
Zero toe all round.

As you can see by my videos the car still likes to swap ends.
 
I played with mine all through last year, ended up happiest 3.5 deg camber front and 2.5 deg rear and toe set to 2mm toe out front and back
 
I know geometry is a personal preference.

Currently I have

Front 1.5 degree of negative camber
Tow is dead centre.

Rear is 1 degree of negative camber
Toe is 0.5 degree positive / Toe out

I like having the rear end stable.

Interested to see what others have and how you find it.
 
I've had about 3-4 different settings on my EP3 so far due to wider wheels and different ride heights. Think I've finally found one I like:

Front: -2.6 degrees camber
Toe: 0 Degreees

Rear: -2.3 degrees camber
Toe: 0.5 degrees toe out

Wasn't particularly wanting to run so much camber at the rear but due to the width of my wheels I need to in order to get the tyre under the arch. Next year I might try and roll the arches completely flat and flare the arch more in order to run less rear camber.

Having said that the car drove amazingly around Brands, didn't feel like the back end was wanting to step out at all, which is nice for a 1st timer like me. :D haha
 
Forgot to add mine here, on track had mine set at l:
Front: 1.5
Rear: 2
Toe: 0

Next track i may have my front set at 2 to experiment.

With my setup car feels planted flat out with zero understeer, however i prefer keeping my rear seats in rather than taking them out, more stable.
I run really high tyre pressure on track, 33-36 cold, i feel more comfortable with it and response is unbelievable as lower pressure feels lazy, this isnt for everyone but works well for me.
I must stress not to run high pressure on the road, very lairy and dangerous!

BC coilovers set at 25 out of 30 clicks front and rear, 12kg F, 8kg R

Yokohama AD08R set to 32psi hot.

Car felt very 'safe' and easy to drive.

Your car runs really well mate stable on every corner, and looks like you could push it more.
 
On a dc2 but I run:

Front camber: -3 degrees
Front toe: 1 degree out

Rear camber: -2 degrees
Rear toe: 1 degree out

On meisterR zeta R
10kg front
26 clicks dampening
8kg rear
22 clicks dampening

Usually set the tyre pressures to 30 front and rear 28-30 when HOT

All personal preference I guess but the rear will step out nicely like this when it's wanted. Not really that great on the road, car pulls quite abit and quite 'skitty' down B roads or anything that's not a good surface.
 
I would say the above advice is spot on for semi slicks and fast road tyres^^ I have also ran very similar settings with good results

For comparison I run full slicks on a dry track and my alignment and spring rates are a bit different:

Front toe: Somewhere between zero and 2mm total toe out (I usually set it with string in my garage)

Rear Camber -3
Rear toe: Zero (for now)

Spring rates up until now have been 16K front and 16k Rear but I'm going slightly stiffer with a new set of coilovers (This is only good for a smooth circuit)

What coilovers are you running mate and what you going for, plus what spring rate? Im currently on cuscos but got a spare set of bc racing.

I'm using federal rsr 595 tyres, and guessing the set up would work well with most semi slick tyres like you say.

I have been wanting to change the alignment slightly to be that little bit more aggressive towards the settings you have mentioned you use. Whenever I finally finish the car it won't see much more of the road so will play about abit more with it.
