Looking for some opinions guys.

I having thoughts about selling my Crx -

As some of you know (or will see in the link above haha), I have spent a considerable amount of time and money over the summer to get it how I want it and setup well. Only problem is that it hardly get used (what with working shifts ect).

The other thing is we have 3 cars between me & my mrs's and its proving to be rather costly (esp when I keep buying new parts for them haha). My a3 costs me about £250 in diesel due to my long commute to work but the other two hardly move.......I think between her lupo and the Crx they must have covered 15miles total in the last 4 weeks!!

Reason I'm struggling to make a decision is that I would be hard pushed to find another Crx in this condition (if I decided I wanted another) and the lupo is cheap as chips to run/insure ect.

Do I keep them all? Or sell the lupo and the Crx and buy one car me and the mrs's can share (keeping the a3 for work)?

Probably the sensible thing to do would be sell the crx if its not being used however as you say you'd be very hard pushed to find another as nice . For me it comes down to needing a car as its a hobby as it takes my mind off the grind of everyday life and its one thing that makes me happy . Then again if money's tight it's just metal at the end of the day you'll find another cool car when times are easier . Ill no doubt have to sell my car in the not to distant future to put a deposit on a house but after that ill buy another project and have a garage to keep it in .. My gut reaction would be keep that crx as not many about like it ..

Maybe you should consider the following.
1. Will you be using it more somewhere in the future? If no, sell. If yes, following question.
2. How much did it cost you and how much do you expect to get for it. If that difference is huge (eg 10k spendings, 3k return) then I'd keep it and just take it of the road untill you find more time to use it.

Yeah see what you guys are saying.

The Crx would be coming off the road in the next couple of weeks for the winter anyway but the thing is my project for next summer is to monoblock the drive and landscape the garden......so can't see me getting too much use out of it then either. Oh and I have a wedding to plan haha

I was thinking dc5, s2000, vx220 or Elise for a car we can share.....so wouldnt be saving much money....it's just the fact we could have one car that gets little use rather than two that get very little use lol

I'd never share a car with my girlfriend. For that reason alone you keep the crx

I know the feeling pal. Hard decision to make, really think on it. I often ask all my mates and they put me right.

i think you would regret it mate, as said probz wont find another one like it :nice:

I would not part with that, you would regret it later, looks very tidy :nice:

Cheers for the positive feedback on the motor guys :)

Really torn at the moment tbh, one day I fancy something else the next I'm keeping it.

You'll regret it if you sell it dude

I regret getting rid of it. Just start using it to drive to work on warm days. It'll cost in fuel but will keep a smile on your face bombing round corners

my opinion would be to keep it, if its off the road for the winter then its not really costing you anything to keep it. and as said finding a crx like it will be a tough one.

I'd say keep it after all the hard work. I sold my dream spec edition 30 Golf GTI earlier this year and still regret it to this day :(

As for running costs can't see a B16 costing much in fuel.

I also have 2 cars and the novelty of choosing diff cars is pretty cool.
