Hey

No idea whats going on with my throttle at the moment..

Would be driving along normally (not with the foot down or anything) and when i put the foot down a bit to accelerate, the car wouldnt go it would sort of judder and get sorta bogged then suddenly jump forward a bit and the power would come.

vtec and everything works fine and this only happens on the odd occasion.

Anything any ideas what it could be?

My friend thought it could be throttle body problem or clutch?

Not a clue myself to be honest and any help would be appreciated!

Cheers!

Sounds like maybe the throttle position sensor? I had bad on/off throttle at slow speeds.

Try using a mates throttle body thats known to be good and if that fixes it then its the TPS :nice:

I bought a used one for £25 and it fixed mine :run:

Will do!

Gonna be hard to know though as it only happens on an odd occasion, but thanks for the idea!

Could well be the TPS mate, easy and relatively cheap to change. Luke's race car did this and that was the cause

Had the exact same issue years ago when I had a Rover 25. I replaced the TPS, which did not help and so I checked the wires and one of the wires going from the TPS to the ECU was broken, hence the erratic behaviour as sometimes there would be contact and at other times there wouldn't. So if a new TPS does not help - check the wiring!

Also remember when changing the tps it needs set to the correct voltages open and closed.

Just resolved the same exact issue with my K-swap; TPS was going bad which was OEM Honda. Replaced it and it as smooth as silk.

If you are using Kpro, the calibration needs to be reset when replacing the TPS. Minimum and WOT settings. Easy to reset with Hondata software.

Happy days hopefully il get it sorted.. dont have a kpro but is it easily replaced yourself?
