So the cylinder head gasket has fryed on my ek3 and the costs fixing it might not be worth it as the body work isn't the best.

So it's either fix it which would cost about £400. Or finance another car. Ideally always wanted an ek9, dc2 etc but insurance is still abit crazy. Road tax and insurance for the crz would be a quarter of what a type r would be too and cheaper than my ek3. And even if I went for an ek9 it would have to be one that I can get financed :/

Been looking at the crz all day and wanted to know who has one or has driven one? How does it drive? Is it cheap to maintain and run?

I hate decisions. I love the crz but don't know if it's worth paying for etc.. I want b series power but with petrol and all that is rather something economical and still fun to drive..

Ive driven my mates dads. Once. Wasnt expecting much so cnt say i was dissapointed but i found the over all feel of the car quite dull.

Interior is nice and modern as with all current hondas and in my opinion they look ok and the road tax is cheap if not free. but thats where it stopps with me. Hardly any room in the back at all wich i dont see the point in a hybrid vehice.

Plenty of better options out there for the money.

Aren't they supposed to be making a new more powerful CRZ in the not too distant future, one that's still a Hybrid?

I'd perhaps wait for the new Turbo CTR to come out if you're going to get finance on a car, think it's out next year or the following year. Get a cheap run around for now to build your no claims and then get a CTR in a few years.

Only ever had a drive in this one -

It's had a Fast Road Set-up, lowered and with the rubber wrapped round those 18" FN2 alloy's it could really attack the corners as speed.

Owner, a customerof mine, asked me to stick it in sport and "give it some", it pulled really well as the battery give 100% assistance to aid performance.

She has had it for 3 years now and not one thing has went wrong.

Yeah the dials really do it for me tbh :D and i heard the back is tiny too.. Never actually sat in one before. But going to test drive one later on today! :))

Problem with that is i can't afford a brand new car, i'd imagine them both being in the £20k region.. I also forgot to mention if i did go for a CRZ it would be a second hand one, but still looks new..

Omg i want that car! Although not a fan of the fn2 wheels but each to there own :p

Was the engine standard?

I need a Mugen CRZ in my life..

Of the current Honda line up the CRZ would be the car I would choose - if I went for a Honda. The new Civic is hideous, I really hate the rear end of the car and the front is not much better. But if I was to splash out on a brand new car it would no doubt be one of the new Toyota/Subaru coupes. The car looks awesome!

CRZ with the right mods can look really good, but doesn't have out the box performance. This can always be addressed with a supercharger, not sure if the 40-50 mpg is achievable. Car payments can do your head in after a while.

chassis number 00000003. 3rd civic ever made. Completely rust free.

Id go for the crz rather with the fn2 tbh..they look good if modified properly!

im a big fan of the CRZ myself, if you are driving mostly around town and a few trips on the motorway they are a very good choice...my only complaint is its too expensive new

Never driven one but I think it's a bit of a pointless car. Lovely to look at but they're slow, not very practical, doesn't sound like they're especially good on fuel and they're expensive. I'd find it a bit of a worry what happens to value as they approach the end of the battery's life span.

If you want to stay honda I'd look at the current civic. The styling's obviously not to everyone's taste but I really like them and from what I've seen they look really good cars with a good selection of engines.
If you were just looking for an economic small sporty hatch regardless of marque, I think I'd personally be looking at a diesel DS3.
