Never used tegiwa but had no issues so far with j&r shafts or keep the oem shaft and just replace the joints to rebuild it is what I did
Mine are oem shafts with j&r joints, they've been on for about nearly 2yrs now? no issues with them so far My folks MB6 is running j&r driveshafts for about 1yr now, I kept the oem as spare and couldn't be bothered with rebuilding so thought I'd try the whole driveshaft. Only thing so far is 1 CV boot that tore, other than that no issues.Pete how long have you had the j&r ones on?
I’m thinking of doing them on my del sol and came across the j&r... almost dismissed them as junk as they are so cheap. Be good to hear your opinion on them?

With the right tools and space it's not hard to do, a vice would help a lot!! lol the only difficult bit is getting the joint on and off because of the lock ring inside. Oh and the messy CV grease. With the right angle and technique you can get it off easily enough after watching some tutorials. If you're handy working on cars then it shouldn't be too hard for you at all. It is a lot easier just having the whole driveshaft changed, but I wanted to keep the oem shaft itself as people say they're strong and capable of high power. How much hassle is it to rebuild them? I think Honda have discontinued the driveshafts but you can still get the CV joints, right?

No worries! It was 1 of the full shafts that had the split boot, though I'm really not sure why tbh as they've been fine on mine. Maybe just bad luck? and something hit it maybe. No idea but yeah that's the only issue so far, a split cv boot. Thanks for the update man, if they are good enough for your folks b18c4 they’ll be good enough for my b16a2.
was it one of your folks full shafts or one of your cv joints that split the boot?
