Has anyone had any experiences with these coilovers on there EK?

Tanabe site:
SUSTEC PRO FIVEb»•iÐ‰îbTANABE
Tanabe Racing Development, USA - Sustec Pro FIVE Ultimate Suspension

I am looking into a street application whereby comfort and spirited driving can be achieved (firm enough), also with occasional track (2-3 times a year).

They are relatively cheaper then the other competitor brands such as Cusco\Teins\Zeal in comparison with there similar product range. All of which are Japan manufactured, apparently Tanabe is partnered with KYB Japan.

Any reviews or experiences with this coilover brand would be appreciated. How they feel? ease of use? etc etc.

Not much reviews i find of Sustec Pro 5 on EK's.

Thanks.

For what car, i don't think they have an EK9 application and the JDM website lists them somewhere between medium to hard as far as stiffness goes from what i gather.

Perhaps the Tanabe Sustec Pro S-OC is what you desire, take from Tanabe website:

Dispelling a popular belief that a firm or harsh ride is a sign of a performance suspension, the short stroke, shortened case dampener of the S-0C is extremely unique in that it’s internal construction allows it to deliver superior handling without sacrificing strength or ride comfort.

i think their design is outmoded. The height is adjusted through spring preload (helper spring).

It is for Civic EK4 (96-00)

They do make them for EK but its probably not in that site, settings are:
[F] -21mm ~ -88mm / 8k
[R] -17mm ~ -73mm / 6k

I guess i'm just worried that the spring rates are too soft compared to competitor brands. But then again, it could be part of the overall design which doesn't necessarily mean it will not be firm enough (if that makes sense)
