btw did u decide on a final drive or are you sticking with the stock dc5 box?
 
I was going to do the Combe day with H.O.T but am already doing in a Vtec challenge car.
So l'll still be there, just not out in the teg :)

I stayed with the standard dc5 box, it smashes through the gears as it is though so happy with it for now :)
 
Haven't really got much to update on the teg. Been driving it daily since it's mot now, had a few teething problems but haven't been too bad.


Overall pretty chuffed with the swap and looking forward to having it mapped now too see what it's like :D

Btw You running ep3 brakes?
Did you just reverse mount them?
I'm thinking of running them for the 300mm setup but want to know what the fitment is like, any custom bit involved?
 
Yeah got ep3 300mm's on the front. Swap the calipers from drivers side on the ep3 to passenger side on the dc2, and visa versa. re-drill ep3 discs to 4x114 and put a 2mm washer between the ep3 carrier and the dc2 hub to center the caliper to the disc :)
 
The sump dose sit alot lower than the b18c one did.
I just raised the car to suit though, the sump is still abit lower than I would like it too sit though, and the pan being made out of aluminium dosent help. I would like to get a k24 steel one as they are meant too be abit shorter so sit higher but then my clockwise sump baffle won't fit.

Yeah got hasport mounts on this.

I smashed the sump just before the weekend, luckily I had a spare and fitted it that night. Got a k24 steel one on the way so going to get that on and try and make something to act as a gaurd.

Getting it mapped on Monday so looking forward to see what it's like once set up, book a track day then :)
 
The rpf1's are 16'. They clear fine, the gap between the caliper and the barrel of the wheel isn't a huge amount but it's easily enough!

Good to know. Thinking about getting a set for track and use my NT03's for the/wet tyres...I've still to fit the 300mm though lol

lol im on my 4th sump because of this!
im on my 3rd engine too for other reasons.
but i raised my car now and i clear pretty much everything.
