alright guys,

My Ek9 has been in storage for the last three years and I am moving to a new house with a garage so I am going to remove it from storage and ship it to the new house.

I am going to try and start it up once I get it to the new house is there anything you guys suggest I do before doing it other than a full oil change?

I’ll be buying a new battery as the one that’s in it was done when I parked it up but looking for other things I should be doing/checking before starting it?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Probably flush the fuel and refill with new fuel, new fuel filter, oil filter with your oil change, probably new plugs too.
Might also benefit from a coolant flush too. Basically just a service and fresh fuel.

Hopefully your brakes haven't seized on though, from my experience Honda brakes like to stick on if left too long.

Thanks

Yeah was thinking about a full flush of all the liquids and yeah hoping brakes haven’t seized on. Sure I left the handbrake off and the car in gear but really can’t remember it was that long ago.

I was gonna say disconnect the dizzy plug and fuel injector plugs, give it a few cranks for a couple seconds to turn the engine over for it to circulate the oil round so it's not a dry start.

Got an Accord here that hasn't started in years, started straight up like it was yesterday but the brakes had nicely seized so were bit noisy when you get moving, could hear them dragging but eventually free themselves

I remember my old 106 GTi. I went through a fair few precautionary measures whilst it was in storage, the engine was just never right once I wanted to get back in it.

Hope it goes well!

I am going to get Gerry at performancetek to do a full recomission on the car so all fluids replaced and belts and other perishables replaced. Just need to find the time and money to do it now.

Thanks for the suggestions.
