Whats the difference in the 2 of these calipers? There both available for ek9 and retail around the same price?:nice:

Twin-block is direct bolt on (EK9-DC2)
Mono-block is direct bolt on (EP3-DC5)

I see its just a few websites list monoblock for ek9?

yeah you'll have to run bigger wheels along with a custom install on rotors, spacers(if app.), as to the twin block is a direct replacement...
Here's an idea of what Spoon did to run the Mono-Block Calipers:

I see, Thanks for that dude! Someday I will have them:D

Twinblock are lighter too as they are a slightly smaller caliper as designed to use 280mm discs where the monoblocks are for 320mm iirc?!

i think the twinblocks are deffo worth the monies, SO much power (obviously depends on what pads you use) and very good modulation too :nice:

uh hmm... these are my twin blocks... :D with SPOON rotors and pads.

But you know... theres only ONE thing I hate about my brakes upgrade... know what it is???

ITS THE AMOUNT OF BRAKE SH1T DUST I get from these SPOON pads. At first, I thought it was the slotted rotors that might be grinding out more pad but noooooooo, the damn rears are also the same. Shitloads of dust. Not good for my clean wheels...lol

i think thats partially why SPOON dont use white wheels and opted for the black regamasters on their cars...

1 day with SPOON pads = 3-4 days OEM pads.

I used to have VTTR pads on my car they were VERY dusty, I changed them for Endless SSY and they produce alot less dust and have better stopping power:)

blinx: lol

I think stevenek9 is also using endless pads, I heard he doesnt get much dust. I'll consider them once the SPOON pads wear out... might be a while though... :(

Can't be bothered to clean them all the time. When they get fully mangled, I'll just paint them black :p

Why bother with Spoon pads or any other competition pad on the street? The stock pads are more than adequate and if you find that they are not, then you're driving way too fast on public roads to begin with. Can't fit the stock pads because of the wear indicators? Easy fix. Cut them off. It's not like any competition pad will have a wear indicator anyway.

FWIW, I use the stock Nissin pads or whatever $20.00 pads and they work great for tooling around town, low dust, low noise and stops great even when cold.
