I recently bought some Recaros for my ej9 and the drivers seat came on a Spoon Super Low Rail. Not heard much about them, apart from there are 2 versions, version one is discontinued? wondered how much there worth as i'm not keen on the seating position so may look to sell it.
Cheers :)

I had both versions, gen1 came with my old 9 I bought the other one direct from spoon sports Europe in a sale for £70 new, that was for gen2 which sits slightly higher but is way better than gen1

Whats the difference between gen1 and 2? and how do i know which generation i have?

Got a gen 1 rail in mine. Almost on the floor lol

gen 1 only locks on one side, gen 2 on both sides. Gen 1 did move a bit which I didn't like...

I think i have a gen 2 then. Do they have any markings on them to show they are genuine spoon?

Nope, no markings on the rails, a lot of Spoon stuff is not marked for some strange reason.

No idea tbh, I sold mine with the original recaros for £400 the lot (my driver's side seat wasn't the best example). As I said I paid £70 for a brand new one a few years back, but that was maybe just luck, I don't even know what the RRP is/was. Considering that when I bought it it was a clearance item I'm not sure you can even buy them new anymore, which might add to the value a bit.

I had a gen.1 DC2 one in an EK, It was damn low. No thigh support though, Seat base was literally parallel with the floor. Bound to be worth £70.00 any day. Although a swap for an EK9 rail might be best as a single drivers one of those can be equally as hard to come by.

Are the spoon rails discontinued then? I'm after some rails for recently purchased recaros either dc2/ek or spoon ones if anyone has got any or knows where i can get some genuine spoon ones brand new?

They were not listed on Spoon Sports Europe website last time I checked and as I said, I was told I bought the last pair they had some three years ago. I'm not sure if it is just the European dealer not stocking them anymore or whether Spoon stopped making them altogether. You can give them a ring they are UK based.
