Hi everyone

Here is a scan of the Spoon ECU data which includes rev limit and VTEC change over point.

NOTE: these are for the current genaration ECUs as of 2006

now all we need is dyno runs back to back....to show how good...or bad the program is....

Anybody watch the "what is Spoon" video before? There was a small bit where the driver and mechanics were talking about how the car was responding out on the track and they brought along their techtom program/burner and proceeded to alter the program based on the feedback of the driver.

I wonder just how aggressive the production program is....

Oh, there is an intense amount of R&D involved in programming the ECUs. Especially since you can't change the settings. I spoke to the chief Type One mech who is a personal friend of mine a while back. He mentioned that obviously the Spoon ECUs are best match with at least the following Spoon products or set up since that is what they used in the development.

Throttle body, although there is now a new Venturi type version.

Stock air box and drop in filter.

at least a straight type muffler

4-1 exhaust manifold

A long while back Spoon also had a VTEC controller but axed it since owners didn't know what was the best setting.

I also asked if foreign users with at the most 98RON octane petrol could use it. He said its no problem as long as you use at least iridium sparkplugs.
