The first thing i had to do was change the speedo to mph, so just a quick little guide if it helps anyone!

I got the speedo from funky power quick delivery with the instructions.

first i disconnected the battery as it was electrics and removed the air filter to get into the vehicle speed sensor where the chip will be wired into .

the sensor is located at the back and top of the gearbox just unplug it b holding down the lever and pull on it it should pop off. i then removed the tape around the loom and to no surprise it had been tampered with before.

i then disconnected the wiring and stripped it all back and then followed the instruction to wire it up and got it all connected back up.

Then took it for a run and it wasn't working so i disconnected it and checked al the wiring was connected etc. and had me puzzled for a while. so i got the multimeter out and checked the voltages of the wiring coming from the loom and checked the positive. i done this by putting the voltmeter connector on the ground black wire and checking for a voltage with the other connector on the other wires. turned out the yellow blue wire on the car was not the positive but the black and yellow was. and blue and white was the signal. once i figured this out i tried to re wire but what do you know i run out of wire after screwing up the last heat shrink :/ i then had tried to source a plug but nothing so i got pins not the standard ones for the pin they were different and had to make them fit awkwardly by modifying the plug or by being rough if you wanna call it that lol. i had to remove the top of the vss by removing the two 10mm bolts holding in place to make it easier for me to fit the plug to the vss securely.

so the final wiring was :
converter wiring = vehicle wiring
signal in= yellow =blue/ white vss sensor side
signal out =grey = blue/white loom side
(+) = red = black/yellow
earth = black on black

note you should get around 12v from the positive with ignition on, it should be a simple fit but turned into a nightmare for myself. also on the look out for one of the plugs from the loom side. if anyone is breaking would be appreciated. thanks hope this helps first thread sorry if its hard to understand.
