Spark Plug for Turbo?????


Another question for you guys. The turbo on it is a garett ball bearing turbo. It does not have a BOV. I spoke to the previous owner and he said its a strong turbo so no point of a BOV. What you guys think?
 
This is an odd one for me tbh. From a reliability point of view i doubt it makes much difference in reality, unless your constantly spooling it and then letting the air back up all the time..
Performance point of view i can see the reasoning behind wanting to keep the turbos compressor speeds high during a gear change. A bov will help as its not adding resistance against the turbo slowing it down, its purely venting the air out instead of pushing it back passed the turbo.
If we look at oem applications youll notice that they all have a recirculation system,
Borg warners efr series has its own recirc valve built in, so it clearly aids performance.
