Sky Insurance 20% Insurance Discount for UK EK9 Owners


Sky wouldnt insure me at 21 on my EK9, probably different for EJ9s etc if thats any help man
 
Just read the rest of the post and it seems someone at Sky would have made the error thinking it was an EP3...Thats annoying.

Oh well, maybe give yous a shot at renewal
 
Just tried to get quotes on cars through sky and had no luck whatsoever, wouldn't insure any car at my postcode, i wouldn't mind if i lived in Baghdad or the like but there you go

Waste of time

Flux, Admiral group and many other insurance companies see no problem with the area, very disappointed with sky insurance

Sorry to hear that, if you PM me your details (name and postcode) I can check this for you. We do have certain postcode retrictions in the areas where our underwriters' have a higher than normal claims loss ratio.
 
Hey! So what if im 22 with 0 NCB and a named driver? can I get insured now? I've been blimin waiting for years just to get this car! I have been driving a diesel car for 3 years! (names aswell) I also do have 2 occupations that both pay!

Why do you have 0 years NCB? We may struggle in that case. Have you got claim free driving as a named driver or on a company car?

Unfortunately not. Wasn't really aware that I could get no claims even as a named driver. Thats the reason why I have 0 NCB's. But it's just funny that I can get insured on a EP3 CTR but not an EK9.

If you can provide proof of claim free named driver experience, we may be able to help you. We would need either a letter from your previous insurers or the certificates of insurance. If you cannot get these or have not been driving claim free, we wont be able to help you.

Just to clear up my confusion do you insure 20 year olds on an ek9? as when I rang I was told you need to be 21.:((
 
Do you cover cars with engine swaps? Im 20 with nearly 3 years driving experience and 1 years no claims... not claimed at any point either

Yes, swapped cars are no problem but I cannot comment on whether you would fit the criteria for the vehicle without knowing what it is.
 
Just insured my 9 through Sky Insurance! Well chuffed, great service! Highly recommended!! :) :) :)
 
Quick question, would adding someone that is over 60 to my policy be more likely to, lower the quote or raise it?

Person has NO points, No convictons & has been driving for like 30Yrs, PLUS:naughty:
 
Can i ask,

How are you guys with convicted drivers? Do you quote people with bans?
