Just seen that tegiwa are selling the alpha v2 manifold, it looks awesome but is that all it is, just a good looking manifold. The description says that it has improved ground clearance over the last alpha header but has anyone tried it yet? would be interested in your thoughts and opinions cheers guys

I'm not sure which version @ramboteamjon had but I remember the clearance was dreadful and his car wasn't stupidly low either.

going off dimensions this header is the same as most 4-2-1 headers for clearance.. this could be a good buy for most people

iv placed an order for one, ill post a review and pics as soon as it arrives. about 2 weeks

I had th skunk2 alpha v2 series header and th clearance was horrendous! My ek9 was not low at all and it scraped everything so I put my oem mani back on within a couple weeks! It did look and sound epic though

It's only been out two weeks!

Does this v2 fit up to oem cat and standard length jdm system? A lot of the sk2 stuff is designed for usdm fitment, right?

Im sure lots of people had to use custom shorter than normal de cats on the version 1's?

I think this header over all will be a good all rounder, im looking forward to installing it when it comes..

Pics of clearance when its all fitted dave? Most companys should have pics of the actual product fitted so we can see how it looks ect

Yep ill post a few pics before and after the fitting and ill do a write up of my opinion on the header as whole.. going to speak to indigo GT to see if they will dyno it before and after. cant promise that one tho but fingers crossed

interesed to see the diferences between this sequential header vs the standard non sequential.

I hope to have this header fitted a week today, I should have the delivery this week sometime fingers crossed.. will post a full right up and pics asap

So had a nice surprise when i got home from work today, the manifold has arrived:nice: so a big thank you to Tegiwa.. The plan is to fit it next week when I'm off work but i will try my best to fit it on the weekend weather permitting. upon getting it out of the box the quality is very good bar 1 or 2 welds that seem to be a bit thick in places. The collector flange is not fixed so I'm assuming it will need welding once in the right position, iv never had an exhaust header that has a un welded flange so i could be wrong. As you see it, it stands 400mm tall so i don't think ground clearance is going to be a problem like the version before it. The external diameter of the outlet pipe or collector is 63mm and the internal is just a shy over 60mm.. the Runners are fairly wide and its seems to be plenty of room to port them bigger if someone wanted to supercharge or go for a big all motor build. Signs are looking very good so far, it could be a very good all round header for N/A or Forced induction..I'm looking forward to fitting and testing it. I'll continue to update the thread once its fitted, hopefully sooner rather than later.
