I was wondering, is there any offers on the aftermarket on sequential gearboxes for the EK9?
There is an offer from Quaife for the dog engagement H pattern, but I haven't seen any bolt-on sequential trannies...anyone know if there are any???

blinx9900 where are you hehee, :)

the only one i know of and it is far from a bolt on:

Company: Xtrac
Gear Ratio: 62 different ratio's to choose from
Engagement: Sequential
Gear Material: X36C
Retail Price: $18,120
Contact: Xtrac - Transmission Technology

i know in the past there was a minimum order of 3, not sure if thats still true.

the H pattern Dogboxes are pretty much as extreme as you can get with a bolt on gearbox. MFactory might have more information on this...

Ive never seen 1 for sale but I found this on the TypeOne website in 1 of their cars for sale :nice:

You can buy/fabricate a sequential shifter for your H box, although it is not an easy thing to do. The other option is to fork up the $20k for a proper sequential box :(

TBH, for your requirements, even a dogbox exceeds them. The stock Honda Synchro system is very quick/efficient as it is. Any gain you get from a dogbox, can be gained multiple times elsewhere for less cost.

MFactory if you could build a sequential shift conversion kit for the B-series should sell like crazy!! there is currently no item like this available :naughty: but it would have to sell for 1000usd or below cause you know most of the honda customers in USA are cheap bastards...

Ikeya Formula actually have one, but is around $1400 I think?

Yes, this is actually something we are thinking of doing, but will take quite a lot of development.

There is actually a thread on HT about this. A Swedish guy (I think) made one for his Prelude. Looks minted :)

IKEYA has one for b series transmission? i know that for evo and sti... i saw the prelude one it was beautiful!!

Getrag makes one for the B series I believe. there is a shop in Japan called "Pro Stage" and they are turbo guys who have incredibly welded titanium intake piping kits and stuff. Regardless, their EG has a getrag 5 speed sequential tranny according to the HyperRev magazine I have.....they could be wrong though

It would be so nice to have one in an EK9 though. That and some straight cut gears so you get the nice noise. LOL.

there are a few companies who make them for a K: Quaife, Xtrac, MAS italy, all cost over $12,000 usd. I still want one though

how about downshifting, do you still have to do the heel & toe thingy with a sequential gearbox?

bump for an olllddddd thread.. any other news/development on the Ikeya for k series as yet?.... Been searching online but not finding much.. Plan on calling Monday coming but was hoping maybe some persons out there in "E" land might have any additional information.

friend of mine has one on a silvia and trust me, he says it's the best money he ever spent..

cash in hand, waiting for a news

This company is 5 mins up the road from me just in Thatcham. They make F1 and WRC boxs for all the top teams.
