Sc4 ek4 gearbox won't select reverse, help!

My gearbox stopes selecting reverse tonight and I'm wondering has anyone on hear had a similar problem? Just won't go back near neverse, advice would be great

The selector may be bent internally. This requires removal and opening of the transmission. This can happen if reverse has been engaged in the past without the car coming to a complete stop.
