Been looking into this and they say the calipers bolt on but you use fiat coupe turbo disc's, I know the disc's are 4x98 and the civic is 4x100 but other then that is it that simple?

I'd look into prelude calipers and discs , probably a lot cheaper and do a great job !

No point, S2k caliper pistons are the same as EK4 ones.

But they take a bigger disc which is also better, been looking for a 282 setup but not many about!

In that case I think the EP3 brakes are an easier bolt on. Not 100% but obviously you'll need to re-drill the 5 stud discs.

Pretty sure S2000 calipers and carriers are the same as EP3. If that's the case they will definitely bolt on but your complication will be if the offset of the disks is right. iirc with EP3 ones people were redrilling EP3 disks to 4x100 and spacing the disks out by 3mm.

Lots of options of 282mm calipers and carriers though (DC2, EK9, MB6, Prelude, Legend, Accord, NSX) and to my knowledge they should all work ok with MG ZS180 disks.

ap and ep calipers and carriers are the same, but discs are different. Quote some great info from brakeExpert on the subject:
the S2000 disk has a 39.6mm offset whereas the other 300mm Honda disks have a 47mm offset.
To answer the original posters question without digressing ;

-Yes the S2000 calipers fit
-No, the discs wont fit the Ek4 hubs even when redrilled to 4x100-the offset is wrong

To do this, you need to use EP3 discs, redrilled to 4x100. The caliper will need a pair of 0.75mm shims between the knuckle and caliper carrier to get the caliper central on the disc, otherwise you can shave the inside of the carrier to get the clearance.

Good setup for not a lot of money, IMO.

Oh, and if you want to upgrade EK9 hubs to run EP3 setup you need to either

A) put the drive flange on the lathe and take a few mm off the outer diameter, or, use an EP3 drivelange

AND

B) open up the centre bore of the EP3 disc.

Easier to do the ATR upgrade tbh, disc goes straight on.

Does it need a shim between the caliper carrier and hub? Unsure of what needs a shim or what needs to be skimmed?

Shim is needed between the knuckle and the carrier or you can skim the carrier where shown in the picture below. BUt you could get away with it and have a perfect fit, as i know a couple cases that had no issues.

Thanks for the pic helps loads, :) gonna look into the fiat coupe discs and see if there the same spec as ep3's

this thread almost makes no sense to me.
but I guess we all like to play with our civics...even if the answer is already out there.

I'm glad I'm not the only one!

The carrier needs to be either spaced outwards or skimmed which'll bring it closer to the disc face. They're two different things and will end up with opposite results. Only asking as I've got this setup ready to go on my EK9 hubs...
