Hello guys, i latetly did the s2k cluster conversion on my car!! i finally made it to make everything work right but.... the cluster i bought its a jdm one from a 2001 model and despite the fact that the speed is shown digitaly and when you switch the key the check shows 299 my kmh wont go above 180!! i heard something about those model having limiter in the cluster!! anyone knows anything??

i too have a s2000 ap1 cluster with speed limit on 180kph

did you found a way to remove it ?

Most if not all cars in Japan are limited to 180kph, so that's probably the reason why the cluster also has a speed limiter.

Since it's a digital cluster and not analog it's most likely programmed in the ECU so it's not like swapping an analog EK4 cluster for EK9 cluster and seeing the needle go past 180kph once you reach that speed.

You'll either need a EDM cluster or a Mugen N1 ECU to solve your problem. Might be other options as well, these are just the ones I've read about.

Get a kmph > mph convertor, I've also got jdm s2k clocks and run a convertor without any issues.
