running woes

hi folks when i first got my ek9 i had a running issue, basically i would just be cruising at around 70mph and the car would just start stuttering and then it would sort itself out after about 10 seconds or so, anyway i had the oxygen sensor changed for a new one and the car has been fine for a year until today

after giving it the beans joining onto the dual carriageway i backed off and maintained 70mph, and then this stuttering came back for about 20 seconds or so and cleared up again

please note the engine management light came on last week, and there wasnt anything noticeable apart from it idling around 1200(normally 800rpm) and when i got to where i needed to go i turned the ignition off and then back on again and the management light didnt come on again

ive been thinking it could be a fuel issue, but i have decided im gonna change the plugs, new dizzy cap, new leads just to rule those out, been told to run some injector cleaner through it

anyone got any ideas? will there be error codes on the ecu even tho the management light isnt on???

cheers

its throwing up the vehicle speed sensor code so i will be needing a new one, altho i dont think its related to the current running problem, we will have to see

car is running perfect today tho lol

Second the dizzy opinion - just like before mine went too.

You can try my VSS if you want. I can check your timing too if you want.

cheers matt, but its looking like its the wiring to the vss

im getting it rewired this weekend, and gonna send my distributer off to be refurbed

rewired the wiring going to the vss so the car is now reading in kph, just taken the car from burton to cardiff and car didnt miss a beat, hopefully this is the last of the woes
