Morning all,

Will putting a full system on my car without a remap cause it to run lean?

Not enough to cause an issue tbh.
By system you mean exhaust I'm guessing.

Will probably run leanER, but not dangerously so. Plenty here with full bolt ons unmapped and they go alright.

Planning to go turbo next year and this b16 has only done 49k, just wouldn't wanna strain the stock internal as I plan a low pressure, stock internals, turbo build.

But yea should be grand, planning a s300 at some point in the not so distant future anyway

You should be fine mate, Don't think it's possible to strain a b series in NA format on the road lol as long it's maintained. You building up your turbo parts? What's you power goal?

I'm thinking of getting the twin scroll racetech kit with external waste gate. Power goal probs 260 to keep it on the safe side.

Honestly if you want reliability stay away from them.
I would suggest go auto works.. me and a few others to name a few on here are using their kit. Really top notch.

You have a link to their site bud? I thought the racetech kit looked good, seemed like decent engineering and a good turbo too?

What sort of reliability have u seen so far from you kit chum? Is it stock internals? B16a2 orrr?

They are in the states mate. http://www.go-autoworks-store.com/
Email Greg he is helpful and advise on your goals.
Seriously do your research on racetech. Poor quality manifold and reconditioned evo turbos. Plus you don't get a receipt from their work or kits. A guy I know was stung by them he blew his motor and broke it.. Also various others if you do your research.

I'm running a pro kit ram horn gt3076R on a completely stock b18c4 engine. Running around 10 psi. Covered over 2k with zero problems. Makes 365bhp/265 ftlb plenty fun :)
With your B16a 300 bhp would be do able. Correct tuning is vital .

Cheers buddy! Good to know :) Its gona be next summer anyway before I do this, so plenty of time to research.

Looking at itr cams, dual springs, titanium retainers and hondata before then

Unreal! Is it "enough"? ;)

Yeah man 100% agree with that, tuning is the make or break of forced induction, excuse the pun :p

Some say stock engine is risky etc but it's been proven many times if it's tuned right with good parts and maintained at the same level with proper cooling why not?
As long as you don't go mad psi on stock engine you should be okay.

My b16b was making approx 260hp when it went bang.....
Could argue mine was a fair bit more stressed than your average road build though....

Depends what you want to use your car for. If it's daily fun then for a fwd in the corners 10 psi -12psi is enough any more you would be wasting power. I turn my boost town to 10 psi on b roads then back upto 12 on the long roads. Lol
I remember Romain told me he mapped a stock c4 engine to 450bhp+ 2 years ago and it's still running fine and it gets abused . Buts that's too risky so at that power level definitely forge is way to go

Your engine melted a piston, there is a few reasons as to why that could happen but nothing to do with you making 260bhp on stock engine, the stock pistons can take that and a good bit more.

@OP, I also recommend you contact Go-Autoworks for a turbo kit.
