Great handling and road-holding is vital to making a fast car, all the power in the world doesn’t mean a thing if your handling isn’t up to scratch!

SW Motorsports have a stock of Rigid Collars to get you on the right track!

What are they? Rigid Collars are a form of body strengthening, creating the same effect in part to “seam-welding”. When fitted to the recommended key points where the subframe meets the chassis, it creates a more perfect join; significantly improving the all-round handling of the car. This form of chassis tuning is almost as strong as welding the components together; like many race cars do!

Why do you need them? During the production process the bolt holes in the bodyshell/subframe are made significantly larger than the bolt. This can cause issues, due to the subframe being able to move around! If the two panels don’t sit flat and even, they can work against each other creating a “spring effect”, this is detrimental to the handling of the car.

Benefits of installing Rigid Collars-

• Removal of the “spring effect- Resulting in far supreerior all round handling.
• Accurate vehicle geometry- Giving improved straight line handling, as well as a reduction in road noise.
• Improved feedback through the streering wheel- transmitting a more positive fee when changing direction at high or low speeds.
• Simple to fit with the correct equipment.

Costs- £35 delivered- This is a special EK9 Forum price to UK mainland or £99 fitted, INCLUDING wheel alignment! :nice:

Yes, can you view the video? They are a nice snug fit to stop any horrible movement and all the ill effects associated with it.

Can you keep us posted when the EK ones come back in stock

Possible to fit these while the car is standing on it's wheels? From underneith the car of course.

We would obviously recommend that you get it all aligned and checked over. For peace of mind and to ensure all is well

But yes, if was on a budget and were to do one side at a time, you would be able to get away with it.

Did you use Spoon collars to measure off or your own measurements when making these ?
