Rhonda the tro of love...

Small update, went to the Nurburgring in this in July/August, surprised how much attention it got in a car park full of exotic machinery I guess all GT3's look the same lol :) Decided to make it more track orientated now, hoping for a few more hp and a few less kg's. Interior is stripped, needs floor pans welding, check out the previous owners welding repair section lol!

Haha that weld! Artist at work on the metro!

I did lol when I found it, it was always a bit of a thrown together car but as always I can't leave stuff alone so have torn it down to start again.

Well I've decided to scrap this shell :( but I have a new one in white, doing a new build if anyone is interested I'll get some pics up, now have a Spoon 4-2-1 too so should go a bit better.

Ah shame we'll be missing the fancy welds :p but good luck get some pics up when you get a chance

Some pics of new car, I got the engine out already and most of the interior. Colour will suit the type R lump nicely I think :)

Awesome build. Would love to be in the passenger seat some day, B18C @ 750kg's should prove to be mental acceleration!

This will be insane

u realy need to get flickr or something aswell so i can see the pics!

awesome, why not a K20? :D

I did consider a K20 but I already had the mounts/itb's from the B series so thought I'd keep costs down, I may go for a Rotrex in future though... Glad you guys are interested I'll get some more pics up :)

Day 4...

As some of you may know the Metro uses Hydrogas suspension basically cannisters of fluid to set the ride height/dampening etc, it works well but they don't have dampers, to improve the handling you can fit dampers all round however in order to do this you need to turret the rear of the body and fit reinforcement plates to the front. I've also welded over the big hole where the heater used to be to give me more room for the itb's. Should have the turrets welded in tomorrow night, my welding is ok but I have a mate who is 10x better so just waiting on him :)

Are the pics not working? I have photobucket but the upload thing works ok on my screen.

Day 5/6 got the turrets welded in and added a CDS brace to stiffen up the rear. Also put the rear subframe in ready to weld the mounts up to make it solid mounted.
