Replacement / Replica EK9 Mats

    Does anyone know of a company that does replacement or Replica EK9 Mats?

    You could make custom ones I guess, pretty easily at a local shop who does custom seat covers for example. Oem ones are ridiculously priced..

    Great recommendation. I have thought of this as well. Seems the most likely, and most cost effective, route to take by far. The only down side to having a local upholstery shop make them is that they won't be able to duplicate the metal badging or the original tagging. If you have a set of worn mats I'm sure that they'd be able to retrofit them but if you don't have original mats or happen to be missing one (like me) you're going to be out of luck.

    I always prefer OEM whenever possible but as you said they are ridiculously over priced, if you can even find them. Condition on second hand is always a concern as well. I've yet to see a mint set anywhere.

    I've been to my local vechicle trimmers and was told matts are a specialised thing so I did a bit of emailing to companies that do customs mats online and it seems the issue is the colour, none seem able to match the dark red of the OEM mats.
