Project milano red dc2

Amazing build mate, love seeing guys doing serious DC2 build ups! Wheels are an awesome choice with the Milano, I'd be tempted to leave the scoop unpainted/carbon if it was mine :p.

Cheers man, yeh I've decided i'm going to leave the bumper scoop as it is and possibly paint the middle section of the bumper black?

So this happened.... not a happy chappy

Looks pretty obvious that the welds have cracked, I didn't expect this from a Go-Autoworks kit.

This is why I'm going cast manifold.
How long was it on the car for?

Is abit **** isn't it. Get in touch with them see what they can do, you'll probably have to send it back but that's a pain in the backside.

They said they'll repair it if I send it back to them... but it's the headache of taking it apart, sending it to the states, waiting for it to be repaired/sent back and the re-fitting it only then to hope it doesn't break again!
I might look into getting it repaired here in the UK, anyone know any **** hot welders?

By the looks of it won't make a difference who welds it. It's torn across the metal itself. What's to stop it doing it again.

It happens. It's one of those things you can just simply be unlucky with (it's happened to me before as well). Just get it repaired. Any local TIG welder will be able to do it.

That's the plan Rich, just passed off that I paid the premium for a 'quality' kit and this happened.

Since the mani cracked I've been slightly put off and haven't done much up untill last week.. I decided to remove the kit to get the mani welded

Cheeky shot of the rear

Got the mani welded and re-fitted the kit

Next jobs are to get the screamer and downpipe braced up properly, need some improvements on engine cooling...
my oil temps are 100 - 110 degrees while cruising and it's gone upto 120 degree on a spirited drive (is this normal?)
there are some cosmetics that need sorting out too like getting the front bumper painted and getting the car detailed,
wheels refurbed etc but I'll focus on getting it running 100% first me thinks

Probably my favourite dc2 tbh, good job getting the mani sorted and back together :)
