Project Diablo - Turbo B16 EM1 (Picture Heavy)

You dont have to change any sensors with the Hondata....?
Its basically a standard ECU socketed and chipped so you can map your car. It utilises the stock sensors on the motor, but can be mapped to whatever you throw at it.
ECTune is basically the same, with slight diffirences on how it works.

Have you read anything properly that folk have been telling you?

Remember that ek9.org isnt the only place to find out about turbocharging Honda's, theres plenty more info out there that outclasses ek9.org.

been reading through this, my feeling is the same as many others, your "mechanic" i think has you hooked bad. who is it? see if anyone on here know him that live in the same area?

one thing iv been looking for and iv seen a couple people mention it with no answer...do you actually have a folder of receipts of any kind from who you bought the car from? its all very well someone saying they have punted 10k into the engine and other money elsewhere, but unless its there on paper its wind n pish and shouldnt be taken as solid truth. id be concerned buying a car of such spec if they had minimalistic paperwork

i used to know a local guy in and about the cruise scene here, big honda nutcase, and he was a complete talker, every single car he turned up in had this that and the next thing and could take this, took that earlier, and all the usual BS. boy was a tool. we would sit and watch him leave giving it plenty and i swear some of the cars i could have pogo'd along on my knob faster!! i have since gave up listening to people like this

dont fall into that category please! there is some really really good people here that really know their stuff, and the only reason your welcome so far for the majority of this post has been a rocky ride is becuase you are setting yourself up to be another one of these epic fail threads that get passed around every forum up n down the country for all to have a good laugh at.

the last few pages have settled down a bit and your heading in the right direction asking questions and taking on board the answers :)

Thanks and I know where your coming from, I agree about the receipts part. I didn't pay much attention to that at the time of purchase because the car is well known by alot of people in Livingston area and the previous owner is known to spend lots of money on cars, get bored and move on. Bit yeah there are a few concerns I need to discuss but there has alot of trust been built up. Mechanic is James @ J and N Developments, camps industrial estate, east Calder. Don't know if many people know him from the forum.

Here it is being sanded.

im sticking with the 5 spokes tbh.

will be ready on Thursday just before Japfest. In there.

The wheels in the last pic look a million times better than the others :)

looking good! who is doing the work for you? looks like Planet Performance's garage? I'm with Jimbo, the last pic looks best!

Yep Cars bodyshop. East calder.

thanks guys :)

Im keeping the 5 spokes and they are going black. Not a big fan of the 7 spokes. However theres mixed reviews for both.

I gotta say it looks a lot better in black - in my opinion. Also something I noticed from the first (?) post...the carbon bootlid doesn't seem to sit properly on the offside. Just wondering if it has a slightly bent bracket-thing?

TBH for this look I think the 5 spokes look better (but again that's my opinion). I kinda like you "art" picture of what you want...it does look quite aggressive :nice:

well anyways heres the pic of the car atm,

its back int he bodyshop getting a few other small things done, intercooler, tints etc.

hope you like it.
