Post your b16b dyno #'s

Making the 200 mark would a big achievement considering YOUR engine is pretty much stock, seeing as yours is still only a 1600cc...and heard the dyno place (Dastek) is a bit of a happy dyno clitter clatter :D

Good luck though...

Like i say, same day a mint well maintained 30k mile S2000 with intake and exhaust was making 251 bhp, so only 1bhp over standard, pretty much spot on figures, so for that day was pretty accurate i say

Although RR are only worthwhile if you are getting a car tuned, get a far better idea of how the car is running by looking at AFRs etc

If it's a healthy engine which doesn't smoke and pulls well on the road there is no need to go hunting for numbers which are only good for pub talk ;)

well said!!!:nice:

I have never been to an RR. I will only be going when I go to see Will next year for a tune. Like you say, my car doesnt smoke, uses no Oil and pulls excellent so am happy!!

What is the 19.4 figure for torque and how are you making 202hp out of a b16b? spec list:thanks:

19.4 its (kg-m) torque that how we count it in my country and the spec... sry cant tell to anyone its a secret!!:secret:

friend but no ordinary mapper, some of his work is scattered around the world in cars from japan to u.s (from component design, engine building to mapping)

had him order me 1 of his custom designed components recently as area where car is strangled, decided to see what a n/a b16a2 can do before having bottom end built which prob be next year now, budget is huge limiting factor though so had to settle for just mild headwork and doubt ill get custom intake and i/m designed from him, t/b will prob need upsizing tiny amount though

still should be able to get about 75% of what a b16a2 can do

(areas that would see more net gains would be custom designed intake, custom designed i/m, custom bottom end internals and built correctly to rev nice and high, even higher level of headwork etc BUT this lot wont be happening due to budget hence stating 75% of what could be achieved)

just to add regards the mapping, it wasnt done in couple hours or half a day, was done correctly with fine attention to detail over many hours on both road and dyno over many days and prior to ever touching dyno lot of r+d was done along with many calculations and modelling of engine

Hey Iceman that would be the guy who sent it to me then.. I thought I recognised the print out but couldn't find it on my HD.

whats hard to beleieve is internally every single item is oem b16a2 (nothing has been installed), the bottom end wasnt touched at all due me not having the funds even though we knew it needed building

spoke to him earlier in week and come up with a little plan but before engine is touched concentrating on chassis development and handling and i dont mean bolt crap on even i have most bolt on crap, 2 critical handling components will be fitted tommorow though (1is just upgrade over compoent i already have) and hopefully within next few months proper work will begin my him

Yeah I remember chatting about the B16a motor was a great result. The thing that will always separate results like yours from the rest is the sheer amount of good dyno time and reseach which is beyond most. Should sell a kit for the B16A maybe.

Suspension I too am there have had coil overs in the past but now understand the EK9 suspension as very good as stock and hard to improve without actually making things worse.

Cant scan my graph :(

This figure is from the Tuner after my Remap, i have to say...I preffered to drive the car when i was running the Spoon ECU at 195bhp.

It was alot more exciting, it now pulls like **** but there is very little drama

Not bad for a stock motor that has been sitting in a warehouse for God-knows how long...

Actually, it's not entirely stock, it has a cold air intake and a chipped P28 ECU
