Post your b16b dyno #'s

^^^
Solely comparing peak-power numbers from different dynos in different conditions is a joke, as there will be big variations in how they are configured and calibrated. But there's definitely value in analysing the shape of the graphs (both power and torque) to understand where improvements can be made.

And it's useful for tracking the changes in your own vehicle. For example, Timmiblc recently re-dynotuned after some more improvments to his race EK9, and the peak power number itself was fairly similar but there were big improvements in the mid-range power and torque, which is massively valuable.

Just my $0.02.

:)

I just had mine done Sat and it came out at 189.3 BHP @ flywheel

here is my old print out from my ek9
mugen airbox with direct cold air feed from bumper
5zigen manifold
mugen twinloop exhaust
dc sport decat

sorry it's a bad copy it's 189bhp (at the flywheel) 125.7 tq ft lbs

Very healthy result bud! Any mods?:naughty:

they were listed above that was my first ek9, my second one was done at 187bhp in the same place only difference to above spec was it had mugen manifold instead of 5zigen

Good result too! I was referring to Boyle's result as he didn't list any mods for his ek9?

heres mine 190.4 with 125 torque
mugen cai intake
mugen manifold
mugen twinloop catback
5zigen decat
apexi rsm and neo mapped at westward

Nice mods, im sure the buddyclub is loud:naughty:
I like the aem v2 dual chamber design just be very carefull not to drive through and deep puddles or you can ruin your engine, I know of a few people who have been unfortunate to do so with that type of intake:(
Is you ek9 lowered much, if so how do you find clearance with the dc 4-1?

I have lowerd it and I have hit it a few times. The 9 is dry use only. I had to go 4-1 i like having all the power high in the rev range. The Buddy club is loud but I love the sound, I would prob get f**ked off with it if it was my daily driver.

Same here mate, I have the DC 4-1 on mine now and its still at standard height. Im not sure how much to lower the car and im just buying springs but can get up to 60mm lowering. Do you know how much yours is lowered and what has it hit off in the past? Cheers

I think its lowerd about 45-50mm.Im not to sure as its on coilovers. It does look quite low

I will do.Prob going to be the weekend now so I can take some in the light

Had it RR adges ago, spec was

-Standard engine
-Spoon direct flow pipe
-Trust panel filter
-Fujitsubo header
-Spoon N1 cat-back
-Spoon engine mounts
-AC removed
-NGK laser platinum plugs

Made 191.4bhp / 160whp, seemed accurate enough, JDM s2000 with intake exhaust made 251 and another ek9 made 187 on the same rollers, same day.....

Going to have it RR again soon to see what the difference is at the new spec of....

-Standard engine
-Taper ported TB and coolant lines bypassed
-oem DC2 airbox with 4" custom hard air feed with huge velocity stack and hamp filter
-Fujitsubo header / Spoon N1 cat back
-AC and PS removed
-ORC 309 clutch/flywheel
-Innovative 75A mounts
-NGK blue leads and NGK k20 spec laser irridium plugs
-Spoon ECU

Feels much quicker as it is now, not going to hang myself up on numbers though, think it should be closer to the 200 mark, certainly pulls well and can keep up with cars which are much faster on paper. it's a healthy engine with no oil use which is what counts :nice:

Making the 200 mark would a big achievement considering YOUR engine is pretty much stock, seeing as yours is still only a 1600cc...and heard the dyno place (Dastek) is a bit of a happy dyno clitter clatter :D

Good luck though...

B16A2, 100% stock b16a2 internals, only engine work is headwork (very mild as couldnt afford high end work), has been mapped and run custom race header, oem dc2 intake and oem oem dc2 t/b and i/m, aftermarket exhaust also on car, green line is very healthy uk dc2 as comparison, dont read into the numbers, i asked for more driveability so sacrificed some peak bhp as daily driver
