Stock EK9 is quicker then stock 106GTI even on a straight run. Its got alot more power and isnt huge amounts heavier. I used to beat them no problem. Quarter mile takes practise. Different strips/climate/altitude/tarmac/wind resistance on the day etc etc. Your average stock GTI in the UK would not get into the 14's.

in car is b16 flywheel, b16 intake manifold and b16 stock headers, and a sucky clutch.

do you guys think that a could run 13.99 when i have installed new OEM clutch and ITR flywheel ?

Saw this run the other weekend (its Phil, Tom's mate with the black EK9 btw) was really impressed, your launches were perfect with very little wheelspin!

At the same event I ran 14.801 twice and then a 14.803 and a 14.9 with a really bad start. All at around 95mph
The cars a 98 EK9 B16B with de-cat, Buddyclub Spec2 and Spoon elbow and drop in filter.

Third run:

R/T .317 sliping the cluth out @ 5K rpm without spinning

I feel I can do more better without any mods, just practice!

hi im new here guys, my 1/8 mile was 10.5, but declared 10.7 on the race.
all stock b16a engine which was taken from a eg9 and installed it to my ek2 body, we call it the ekg.
