Post your 1/8 - 1/4 Mile Times Here!

I am spinning big time bud - That is with Toyo 888's and taking off at 2k revs, it is just lighting up the tyres with 1st gear throttle. You could PM me some helpful details if possible - save cluttering up this thread with my traction problems lol.. I think I may need my suspention set-up better etc..

Cheers - Andy

Quite bad to be spinning at only 2k :(

RCA's, Traction Bars and good 'ol practice is what you need :)

Drop the tire pressure. Get it as low as 10psi if you have to. Keep experimenting.

Is the surface you're running on a proper drag strip or just some place set up in the middle of no where and the surface is not prepped at all?

Hey Bud, the place is in the middle of an old abandoned air field that has been dissused since the end of WW2 lol..

The surface is very bad, with cracks and stones etc lol.. Its not tarmac, its more of a concrete kind of surface !! Even 4x4's like Evo's and Impreza's struggle to get below 2 second 60fts !!! Thats how bad it is lol...

Cheers, Andy

Haribo you need to get yourself down to santa pod with your 9 mate!

Road Trip A Defo !!! 12s would be nice !!! - We need to get some dates organised !! :nice:

Cheers, Andy

15.3 in fairly damp condition with toyo proxes t1-R (shite) and a pretty strong cross wind.

Gonna get myself some 888's and hope for a sunny, calm day next time!

Haribo - I did notice on the pic of your car here that you are running the suspension very level, if not a bit raised up on the front, if you are struggling for traction you should really lower the front more or raise the back a bit for the 1/4 mile. doing this will shift the weight distribution with more weight over the front wheels so you can get the power down better

Also what width of tyres do you run? Could try some 205/50's instead of stock 195/55 size, 205/50 has a slightly smaller rolling radius but wider contact patch for better traction

I run 205/50 hankook RS2's on oem EK9 wheels and they fit fine even though the stock wheels are only 6" wide :)

(pic i was refering too for the height etc)

run a 14.6 @ 94.9 MPH in very wet conditions and a high crosswind . was also running parada spec 2 at 20 psi due to weather conditions which didnt help as i got up the speed a bit .

14.6 was a EXCELLENT time for yesterdays weather man

yeah i was impressed with that considerin the conditions . hopefully get quicker with decent weather and some r888s next time .

15.1 at 92.7 with a b18c4 but had some cheese slicers for tyres have some better tyres for next time

was at santa pod the other week wid my ek9 this is my spec:
magnacore HT leads
denso iridium plugs
apexi pannel filter
parada spec2 tyers 20psi
fujitsubo RM01A with de-cat
1/4 - 15.0sec was my best time it was my first time and didnt get very good launches, but now i have had my AEM ecu fitted and mapped i can wait till the next run wat ya brug at pod!!

i did 15.1XX, 15.2XX, best time is 15.0XX. stock motor in 98 civic hatch with the exception of aem short ram and crush bend 2.5 inch exhaust system. 60 was a consistent 2.3XX on all three runs. et mph was a consistent 90.XXX on all three runs. tires were brand new Dunlop Direzza DZ101. lower tire pressure but dont really know what psi because i forgot to bring a tire pressure gauge.

this was my first time with this car at the track. i was launching pretty high. 5k seems to be the best for me. 6k made a little wheel hope. so close to 14s.

14.3 crail raceway,
1996 dc2
cold air intake, stripped out, stage2 exedy clutch, toyo t1-r tires

Shakespeare County Raceway today.

EK4 VTI

SRS 4-2-1 manifold
Megan Drift Spec manifold back system with no cat
HKS panel filter and better feed to standard airbox
DC2 Blueprint clutch
Exedy 4.3kg flywheel
Rear completely stripped out apart from quarter panel trims

Nastiest tyres ever, gave hardly any grip. Multi directional jobbies on the spare wheels i borrowed from a mate.

First run of the day and first ever run in this car down the strip.

15.272 @ 90mph

Pretty pleased with that time as i was expecting slower. Was brand new CTR there and that was running 15.3`s so im quite happy i beat that :p

With much better tyres i reckon i could crack 14s :)
