Hi i had a eg cx no P/s no nothing, put the b16a of jdm sir, opened the engine change all gaskets, check all major mesurments, all together with a underground pulley and dc headers, ractive decat, b-pipe, muffler and shorrt ram(crapy cheap stuff:angry:) with apexi v-afc.....all striped car with shity 14
made lowest 14.2

Now starting a ek4 spoon machine we will see!:nice::nice:
 
hi there jst thought i would post my best time that i got at santapod on sunday 11/05/08.i managed a 15.31 at 91mph with a cat back mugen exhaust.:win:
 
was at crail for the first time this weekend managed 15.333 at 91.7 mph.
only with decat and cat back

15.7 - First time on strip, wasnt sure where to hold revs, and a 0.777 reaction time...bad! Be gettin good times when i sort it out though i think:)

Was at the strip today and best time i managed was:

2.490 - 60ft
15.268 - 1/4 @ 92.56MPH

This is on a completely stock B16B bar an open air Apexi filter(with NO cold air feed) and a back box.....

Note: i wasnt getting the greatest pull offs either as my stupid Vtec is @ 6100RPM for some reason so im coming off the clutch always below the dam Vtec so not a fast start really..... Im confident i can bring it in the 14's as well im on budget crappy tires too and loved to light them up.......

Was good fun though, fast cars for a stock motor.
 
This was my first time on the strip in my ek9! It was ace! :)

Mods - (lightweight ek9 - no aircon, airbags, ABS, electric windows, etc) Carbon Bonnet, HKS header, Tanabe sports cat, Tanabe super medallion exhaust system, HKS panel filter, exedy clutch, fidanza flywheel, spoon leads, Ross alloy radiator, buddyclub condensor, rays lightweight lug nuts and 15" teg alloys with khumo ecsta tyres

Launch at 7000rpm and slip the clutch! Once you bring the 60ft down to 2.2xx the car is definitely into the 14s.

I tried this but the tires absolutley hated it! Im on very crappy budget tires at the moment. Once i have better tires i will go back!

Stock motor definitely worthy of a 14 sec pass! For sure.

Mods at the time - AEM V2 and 5Zigen manifold.

Hoping to drop that to around 14.5 by next year now when everything moves from the cupboard to the car!! and proper launches lol

Drop the tire pressure down to 20psi and keep going lower till it grips.

We still managed to get good 60ft times in the high 2.2 range on snow tires this way :D
 
yeah wasn`t to impressed with my quickest time of a 15.3 to be honest and thats with a spoon 4-2/2-1 mani, de-cat, spoon b-pipe, spoon n1 running toyo proxies. My launching was good as well with my quickest reaction time of 0.1ish but car just didn`t pull as hard as my mates :angry: sounds as if there is blowing from the front end of the exhaust when accelerating plus its due a service as well. Want leakdown and compression tests done also to confirm the car is 100% healthy. once these are carried out and my mfactory bits go on i`ll go try again and see what kind of times i can get:P
