lol, yeah he is :) everybody should use the template though, it helps keep the place clean.

Wow, just a copy and paste from civiclife. You could of maybe thought of something better rather than just copying another civic forum.

Instead of criticism why not offer an example, do you have an idea of something better? Please feel free to share it.

You can go even further and say we use vbulletin just like every other forum, why do we not think of something better? If the template works, why not use it?

I can't be ****ed to argue.

Not sure if you can on VB, but on PHP you can intergrate the table into the post in the for sale section when you start a new thread, so the end user dosn't need to copy and paste.

But I guess all these new mods that you're hiring which probley know FA about VB can do this right???
Wrong, I guess that's how things work around here. You become a mod by being popular.

/rant.

Hiring? This is not a job you apply for, you get the position by being helpful. ijwhiteman was chosen by me personally, he has proved himself and I'm sorry if you can't see that, perhaps you are too busy being angry at the world.

Furthermore moderators do not need to be familiar with how the forum software works, that is the job of the Site Administrator who is RVM, feel free to pm him if you have suggestions.

Lastly, this is not honda-tech, your elitist attitude and overall negativity are not welcome here. Haven't i had this conversation with you before? Didn't you tell me you had never heard of honda-tech (which is total BS) but you said you would go there instead and leave this place? What are you waiting for? Go on, GTFO, trust me you will not be missed...

I usually don't scold users in public but you started this one slip.

Blinx, who are the other Mods?

Maybe RVM can make their usernames red or something. EK9TURBO has been on here for ages and I had no idea until about two weeks ago he was a moderator when he closed a thread, it might be helpful for people to know who's a moderator and who's not.

All mods have the ability to add a moderator title under there name, i personally chose to not do it. I don't want people to listen to me because i am a moderator, i don't want them take my advise or behave differently just because i am posting in a thread etc... That is why i have never had any different title under my name, i can only guess the other mods do the same, we tend to operate more in the shadows deleting spam before users can see it, approving threads and posts of new users, and finding ways to make the forum a better place.

But to answer your question as of now vtec6000 and ijwhiteman, there will be a few more coming soon. But don't look at us as moderators in the traditional sense, we are more "helpers". I never want to see this place become a forum where mods only purpose is to stop e-fights and enforce rules. I'm sure most people have noticed this forum has no written rules, it never has. Just the unwritten comon sense rules to respect eachother and it has all worked out well so far, as the forum grows this may change, but i hope we can keep it this way :)

I agree 100% with your policies on moderation of EK9.org.

Its is largley based around the civiclife yes but is by no means a complete carbon copy. The civiclife is quite strict and has a lot more rules. These new rules are merly guidlines to try and improve the sale section. And as blinx has said if it works why reinvent it. If you have any suggestions please feel free to pm so we can discuss it further. I'd be happy to add more to it if it is a benefit to the forum.

dam missed this and just posted a for sale section. sorry!

Its fine like we've said we're not here to be police the forum we are here to help and tackle the spammers!

Totally agree with that! This place is a very friendly and self run forum. We are just here to help and try to keep the place clean. Not enforce our opinions and rules bla bla!
