thinking about getting my sideskirts and lips painted black, but might wrap it instead.

Any body got pics of a good wrapping job?

I'm thinking wrap because I can always take it off and it'll be cheaper.

What do yas think?

Its a good option, especially if you want to hide damage to the lips and sidekirts and also you have the option to remove the wrap if you don't like it.

I found this carbon fiber style wrap on the internet:

Hi bud,
Unless the parts are brand new you may find that the prep to wrap them isnt worth it. Vinyl likes to stick to flat surfaces, so if you have nicks and chips out of the plastic forget it. At the very minimum you would have to use a plastic adhesion promoter to help it to stick. Carbon especially is difficult as it tends to be a thicker vinyl than most gloss. Then there's the fact that most spoilers/side skirts/lips etc are actually quite complex shapes in terms of vinyl. Also to wrap them on the car is tricky, but as soon as you take them off the car the loose any rigidity making them even more difficult to handle & wrap.

Not to put you off or anything :)

The carbon stuffs good to wrap with because it has a honey comb grid on the back so it's easy to spread/push bubbles out

The way that the adhesive is applied to the vinyl isn't anything to do with whether it's carbon. What your talking about is a product called air release. You can get it on any colour dependant on manufacturer
