Hey all

I need convincing or told to shutup lol :angry2:

im in two minds whether to have my roof wrapped 'matte black' (safe option) or the '3m carbon effect' stuff

My Jdm tegs CW and has a few carbon parts (spoiler extension, spoon mirrors, spoon front lip, black decal on the bonnet) and now im contemplating the roof, but lads on the itr club hate the idea as they prefer oem day in day out.

Its not so much a big decision as in i can just peel off if hate it, its the price of getting it done by a pro as im no dab hand at vinyl wrapping.

Now be as negative or positive as you like as im honestly 50-50 its just a thought, if anyone can find a pic of dc2 with this done may help people decide or advise me

heres a pic from JAE anyway to try and give people a idea, wish i could photoshop...

If you have carbon bits then i think a carbon wrap would look good,

Altho you need to make sure its the good stuff not the cheap ebay carbon look wrap.

Ive always been against the idea of real carbon and fake carbon put together.
The combination of clear laquer on real carbon and flat look of the fake ones dont appeal to me.
Im positive ive seen people using fake carbon and using resin, laquer etc to make it look exactly similar to carbon.

If you do decide to wrap it, id prefer the gloss black wrap instead tbh, tie in well with the shiny real carbon :).

Carbon wraping dosent look the best mate, if u really wanted it black then Mary black possibly although ur car looks good the way it is.

It will look Shite!!

Car looks good as it is...

x2

I tried to wrap my bonnet in 3m carbon (only because my car is black and i had a silver bonnet). so painted the bonnet, cause i couldn't be arsed with the silver, did a crap job of it lol so saving up for a proper carbo bonnet :)

Dont do it! It looks cheap and tacky! Keep it white dude! Adding real carbon bits is cool but adding wrap is just not the same! Car looks savage the way it is man! :))

no real enthusiast would even contemplate using fake carbon fibre vinyl on their car

Right lads, point taken. No to wrapping the mother fooker, gonna get xmas money together and get monester carbon bonnet now.

If you are going to do it, do it right and really put a carbon lid on.
Otherwise it would look like a poor poser attempt at the real deal; carbon lid.

I used farbon on my swift sport but the teg is a different league.
I plain refuse to use the stuff... its either the real deal or just oem parts.

Get a full carbon spoiler, your onto a winner there ;)

any car with a black roof that isnt black, looks crap imo...

Points taken boys, plans have totally changed now you guys helped me see the light.

After xmas oem alloys powdercoated back to cw, due to age they're fading a tad.

Monster carbon vented bonnet (white aatomotion decal down side)

Then I'm done an ready for show season.

Once again thanks lads and I'm thanks for the nice feedback its appreciated.
