Olly's DC2 Track Car RaceDNA B18

Sounds good, some really special work must of gone in to building that engine!

No doubt, I don't really know the exact specs but I do know A LOT of the gains were made with some very special headwork, and work on the intake. The exhaust manifold and system are all custom built to match too... it sounds savage!

I admit there are doubters about the figures racedna achieve from their B18's but I have no doubts at all. I had two runs at santa pod with the car recently, and pulled an easy 13.6 at 105 with a terrible 2.5 sec 60ft. The cars fully trimmed on road tyres.

Took a vid of the RaceDna engined Dc2 on some private land last night! Can't wait to get the 4th and 5th gears swapped out for y21 ratios.

That's awesome,
Is the cross over at about 7200 rpm? It rips through the revs pretty quick

Vtec crossover is at 6.8k, i see why you say that though because it does seem to toughen up around 7.2k

Oh cool, yeh it's a nice spec cage perfect for the club sport style trackcar I think.

The engine is something else, unlike any B series I've come across. It's got the torque and usability of a k20 but also the aggresive nature of a b18c. It's making 249 bhp and 165lb/ft of torque. Revs clean to 9500 but pulls well from any revs

Very cool engine you got there, Race DNA really know their stuff, used to have a B18 built by them. These engines really surprise people with their chararistics, free reving but low down torque, they are an endurance engine.

Cheers, yeh it's quite special! I look forward to getting out on track with it next year. What car was your engine in?

Mean B18! Bet you're loving that dude, also good choice of wheels, looking good!

Yeh definitely, just need to get it out on a circuit now to get full use of those ponies. Thanks, theyre not the lightest wheel out there but they came up at the right price at the right time in the perfect specs for me to experiment with a staggered tyre setup. Been thinking about painting them tbh though, may go gunmetal including the lips but undecided

Nice motor - Race-DNA certainly know their stuff!

Thanks man! Can't wait to drive it again.

So I've been a bit slack with updates. I was messed around by the Landlord of the unit I was supposed to be getting, so the ITR build went on hold till early March.
Eventually found another unit which is bigger, better and closer to home so pretty pleased about that. It also meant that I could get started on the track car finally!!

Will update later.
