Hi folks this is an area I have no clue about at all . so hoping someone on here can help . .

Currently looking into buying a motorbike . I would like something that can be driven on road and also off road . Think the bike may have to be under 14 bhp depending what test I decide to sit .

Love the look on yamaha yz 250cc - do these come on road aswell?

any help appreciated ,

cheers

If your just wanting a little commuter bike you can get away with just doing your CBT and you can ride up to a 125cc and get yourself anything really , yamaha dt 125 there lot of Chinese and Korean bike brand new for just over 1K most are yamaha or honda licensed engines

I aint looked in to this in a while though Mark btu my 2 cent any ways Lol

cheers wishy I had a scooter a couple years back on a cbt . however i dont fancy having the L plates on a new bike . maybe after something a bit more beefy than a 125 so thinking about 250 cc . you thinking of getting one aswell .

Don't buy a Korean shite heap unless you intend on binding it after 2 years...there made of tin foil.
Supermotos are quite cool..also had a KTM 250f that was a good crossed, was ok on the road too...shame some little gypo nicked it.

Depending on what age you are dont make the mistake that me and my friends made....there is not point in buying a 125 or 250, your best bet is to buy the bigger bike, do the full access and/or restict the power of the bike....you will get bored or underpowered bikes vey quick.....only take this advice if you respect the power of a big bike and are willing to take a sensible appraoch.

ps if its more offroad you want i agree 125 or 250 two storke is the way to go, but its a huge compromise on the roads, mpg, air resistance, comfort etc

cheers for the advice man . Im 22 and realise how easy it is to kill yourself on a bike . I would consider doing my direct access however id imagine that insurance would be rediculous , any idea if this is correct ? cheers

Was going to get bike a few times , done the scooter thing when i was 16 too Lol.....

Going to need to wait till i get a bike now , no where to keep one as i live in a flat just now.
But it would definitely be a super moto probs either KTM or CCM bike i think but thats well on hold haha
