A friend had his car dyno'd earlier this year and shared the print out with me, but I can't help but think that something is odd about either the car or the dyno. It'll be good to hear the experienced views of you guys!

The car is a 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. What's puzzling me is that it only made 166.1WHP while making 301.5BHP... Can you really lose 135BHP through the transmission? It also seems that WHP is decreasing in the higher rpm's while BHP is still increasing... how does that work?

I would imagine that the permanent 4 wheel drive system creates a lot of drag, although i wouldn't think that i would be 130hp tho

I couldn't tell you why the wheels figure is so low, 166 at the wheels is **** lol

It doesn't feel slow, but neither of us have driven a car that powerful before so I guess there's nothing to base it on! We just thought if there was something wrong with the car as the dyno suggests (whp should be 250ish), maybe there was a simple solution to suddenly find a load more power. Either that or the dyno owners were trying to pull a fast one on the bhp figures, as some work had been done on the car before hand.
