Ok so this isn't the typical what's the best budget coilover to buy etc but what I want a little more info on and hopefully some input into is the other end if the scale. Now I've had d2,Meister r and tried bc racing and there all good but at the end of the day there still based as a budget coilover. Has anyone any experience with the better quality stuff, brands etc once I get my next car I might look at getting something more just track focused as that's were it'll be 80% of the time, what sort of setups are the vtec challenge boys etc using, spring rates like 16k swift springs etc?

I ran JRZ RS Pro's with Eibach 750lbs/800lbs springs
Im now on JRZ Race [reds] with the S2000
These are on the other side of the moon as it relates to budget... you have been warned.

Are they worth it? Hells yes!

My old RS Pros are now on Mike Hatten's track car.

What sort of price range are you talking mate? As said my previous car was well sorted but I'm selling my Meister r and need something else lol

JRZ start about 2k GBP from what I've saw, ICB stock them at the moment, I dream of getting some! Lol

Thought about the newer meister r coilover? They are a more sophisticated coilover than the zeta range.
Have a look and a chat with them about them. They are around £1500 iirc

Was actually on there website today having a nosey, I'll have to Pm them when I get my next car and see what I can come up with, if I was to go for a purely track setup ie hard spring rates I'd have to get the coilover revalved to work properly with the spring? Not really to clued up on that side of them yet, what about the buddyclub range?

JRZs start around $4.5K USD new for RS double adjustable.
RS pros are a tad more 5.2K USD.

Hard to find used ones, but if you do like I did, was able to sell for the same price I bought used.

Rebuild-able coilover is key to have in a race setup.

and the support at JRZ is outstanding from the company. :)

The new range comes with harder springs iirc? but they have some form of air damper that cushions the small vibrations. Your best to speak to them about it.
They where doing a fair amount of work with nitron but the deal went abit sour iirc.

The "buy already built" cars that where advertised for the vtec challenge last year had meister r zeta r.

There's this Dutch company, Intrax. They supply suspension for the Swift Cup here in Holland. They are really known for their quality suspension and their cheapest set starts at around 1600 euro's for adjustable coilies. They are the supplier of the suspension for the car that has the current Nordschleife record in hands. If I ever drive a Type R again (I assume I will) I think I am gonna stick to stock suspension cause I love it. But if I go after market I will give Intrax a call for sure.

I recomend the Quantums I had on the EK, I ran 18/12, this is due to having the springs given to me, but the rates were very very good, 16 clicks, excellent quality kit, also good as they are UK based should you have any issues.

My first couple of races I ran Cusco Zero2, 5 clicks, with Eibach 10/8, It was like a boat on rough seas, okay for trackdays but I immediately found the limit of them racing, the Quantums were so much better, night & day. If it is for a DC2, I recently contacted Quantum.
Last time I checked Nitron did not make a kit for EK, DC2 not sure but very good kit.
