So Ive spent today swapping out a 96 spec S80's guts into a brand new casing. Taken me all day with a few standstills, finally onto the last stages of bolting bit's back onto the casing.

I go to fit the shifter fork bolts (Pictured below) and they are a different thread! The ones I have from the old S80 are a slightly thinner diameter with a finer thread.

Does anyone happen to know what the part number would be for the bigger pair that I need, or, would know how I could find it out?

:nice:

Ok so if anyone is interested I worked it out.

There is only one 'b series' casing from Honda now days which has superseded old casings. I managed to get the part number for that and so the part number for the bolt above.

So the part number's for the new casing is;
21000-P21-020 (Clutch Housing)
21000-P21-505 (Gearbox Housing)

24519-PB6-000 for the spring bolt.

Everything else has transferred across just fine.

Well looks like I'm going to have to helicoil the casing.

The casing I have must be wrong or someone previously has stripped the thread and re-tapped it to cover it up.

Hopefully the helicoil will seal ok!

Basically a stripped thread repair kit, Ive used them before and they do work really well :)

is it an s80 caseing you put everything into or s4c?

I couldn't say, would they have different threads for these bolts then?

I spent a while at Honda with a guy going through part numbers and all of them came up with the same part number for the bolt :angry2:
