hi everyone I just get my own Ek few days ago with a stock b16a with it , I was searching through Internet YouTube websites about a block swap which is a b20 + b16 head together to make my car to had more power (correct me if I'm wrong) . So could someone pls guide me through this about doing this step , how big is the different I can expect ? How much is the block cost ? Is the procedure such simple as switching the block only or there is a lot more for me to learn to put into it to make it works? What is the alternative way to raise my horsepower other than this way? I am a newbie to Honda pls help thx!

The B20 engines aren't vtec from factory, so you would need to run an external oil feed to the head (the blocks don't have the oil galleries like the other b series engines)

Golden eagle do a bolt on conversion kit to do the job.

Once you have it all fitted together with the vtec head you will need a mapable Ecu with a B20 vtec map to run the car safely because the standard B16 Ecu will be too far out. It's a simple enough conversion to do with parts off the shelf. You won't gain much horsepower but the extra torque will be noticeable.

Although it may be easier to swap a B18 motor and Ecu (depending on year) from an integra straight in, all you would need is the full motor, all your ancillaries will swap over from the B16.

There's plenty of information on the forums, it's a case of choosing which route you want to take and often how deep your pockets are.

I dont know much about b20s but I've heard they aren't too reliable

by the time you buy all the conversion bits, block and get tuning etc you may just get a b18c6 just for the reliability alone

that said a b20 when done right is very fun. I had one in my old crx and was an absolute blast...... if it's still going now though who knows!

ive owned one, the guy i sold it to blew it up

my mate built one, he blew it up

I have a beast of a high comp B18 here that will be going up for sale soon, Toda cams 240+hp etc, pm me if you interested

B20's are great fun as long the engines are built and tuned right. The power difference is huge as it provides a lot of torque. It is a cheaper option as you can pick the bottom ends as low as £300 IIRC.
