Got a Spoon carbon intake thingy, just got it today, noticeably more "throaty" note. And greatly improved pick up! and it definitely has more torque.

I Also have a DC2 throttle body.

Password JDM 3 point strut brace and Rear upper strut brace.

Definately money worth spending on these braces, It totally transforms the car, you wouldn't believe it at response and ability for the car to turn. Much more stable under braking also. Can't stress how much I like this mod:D

Mugen Manifold, had it a while but haven't posted a proper pic of it. 4-2-1 setup, as many of you know it is the way to go with Manifold. Recommend changing EK9 manifold first and Decat if you can, I still have OEM B pipe, which is enough but still planning to get a new catback.

Spoon Engine torque damper, Bit more engine noise inside the car, but again noticeable difference. Power is straight to the wheels and it even makes the car power out of corner much better. If you are thinking about this, I personally have notice a difference and I like it.

just a pic of the car outside.

This is very much my modding done, I will get a catback system then I will leave it at that.

nice mate ! didn`t think you`d notice that much diff with the spoon intake bit but its worth the thought now:nice:

nice one! good write ups, still waiting on my Spoon intake elbow to arrive at the moment :nono:

Where does the cool air come from? Is there a hole in the bottom of the airbox or is there a cold air feed?

there's a hole at the bottom where you remove the fender resonator.

i hve the torque damper too! do think it is noticale aswell... :nice:

how hard did you set ur too?

my mechanic adviced me to set it hard to notice it...

What size piping is that? and how did you fix it to the airbox?

What's special about the Spoon elbow, is it just smooth on the inside?

set it up myself a while back, in planning for the spoon elbow.

theres nothing special about the Spoon, it is just Bling i guess

you could make a tube youself! and the Spoon part is just the actual Carbon thingy.

the rubber you get is the same rubber already attached to the airbox intake side, and you get a zip-tie....lol

As for Torque damper, i got it on hardest as i can turn it, and i check it often to check if it is loose

so, did the spoon elbow add more torque and better pick up like you stated above or is it just bling?

great job! thanks for sharing this information!

Looks good m8, just been informed by Password I will have to wait for my Brace...a few weeks! :(

yeah it does pick up quicker, and it goes up faster so I guess that means more torque from low RPM.

i mean bling as in don't need to spend 100s on a bit of carbon.

but yes it does work, and i feel the difference. So it is a cheap mod to do if you just get a cheap pipe like RVM did.

nice mate! I'm thinking about the okuyama carbing brace, also, did the rear strut bar make much difference?

i put the 3 point and rear upper at the same time, so can't tell you individually.

but it Totally transformed the car!! i Really really recommend the 3 point.Someone else please get it then you can also say it really is good, so i know it is not just me...haha

overall i guess it makes it more controllable, i think babyface says the rear upper also make it more stable

got the cold air pipe off ebay, it was 20 odd pounds for the kit.

with the accumpulation of the uper rear and the lower rear, the rear end definately feels more rigid. The 3 point strut from carbing also includes the brake stopper i believe in their design.
