I started this project with some new rear break discs and break pads. Also a new front badge, new radiator stays, a ground cable, a used air filter box and a new maintenance data sticker.

I noticed the TPS was broken and not very well fixed. I did a proper repair with a D16 TPS :nice:
Then I bought some new parts at Honda. I could order them brand new back in the days. Today they are all discontinued.
- new front spoiler lip
- new left front fender
As it was winter outside I didn't wanted to drive the EK9 to work for front spoiler lip install at the car lift. So I decided to swap the front end to my Coupe EJ6 and drove to work. The EJ6 had the EK9 front end too so the EK9 looked not too bad for that 1 day :))

As the front crash bar was missing I decided to order the RACE bar from the Motorsport ready EK9 version.
And I ordered a brand new valve cover from Honda

So the crash bar is a lighter weight for the N1? I never realised they changed that part.

Hi
Its a square profile form part to add body rigidity.
The pictures below shows the street version EK9 RACE and the motorsport converted RACE base cars.

I passed the german registration of the car since it was difficult because the date of first registration was set to 2001. That causes problems because from 2001 in germany the car has to meet Euro 3 exhaust emission standards which the B16B not do. So I had to let the paperwork corrected to the genuine date of first registration of 1998. After that I got the Euro 2 emission standard into my car registration papers and I was able to get the german licence plates. I also got a used facelift rear bumper and a painted exhaust manifold heat shield which I installed together with a brand new front strut bar from Honda.

Installed a S2000 CD radio, the amber light maches perfectly the other illuminated switches - love Honda for that :nice:
was fun to look at the confused faces of japanese tourists in Berlin city. 2014 Japan was not very successful in football world championship. I had fun inside that car :))

till the end of 2015 nothing major happened to the car. I gave it a ride from time to time if there was no sign of rain outside.
I found a good set of OEM EK9 wheels for sandblasting.
Finally I managed it to get the car to a paintshop. They found a hole inside the right front upper wheelhouse underneath the fender. The new panel took 2 weeks to get from Japan.
