Thought I'd finally post up about my GT86. Having followed the development from concept I had eagerly awaited it but had never anticipated that I'd actually buy one.

I'm sure that by now everyone is aware of the specs and what it's capable of so I won't bore you any more, so I'll just post the pictures.

My mods so far:
All indicators bulbs replaced with LEDs - Removes the orange reflection in the housing which looks cleaner.
***NEW***
Oversized (by 6mm) silicone intake tube
K&N panel filter
Litchfield ECUtek remap
Litchfield suspension package
Powerflex positive shift bush

Mods to come:
Trackday Wheels
Trackday Rubber
Gauges (Oil Temp / Pressure)

It's seems that the standard airbox with a replacement filter can flow as well as any aftermarket intake at the moment, so I've gone for this option - see later posts.
The ECUtek options for the ECU are quite exciting. It's just a reflash of the standard ECU but allows for up to 4 different maps which can be changed on the move, multiple features like launch control, auto-blip on downshift and flat foot shifting. You can also spec daft things like 1/4 mile timers and 0-60 timers which display instead of the mpg readings. Also, as I will be buying the cable for it, it allows for remote map updates and improvements :))

Awesome! I hope the wheels will be changed... Probably the worst factory wheels ever.

I actually think on the dark colours they work well. The dark accents on the wheel are almost an exact match to the grey on the car. They've grown on me alot so I will be getting some track wheels, but for the road I'm more than happy with these. They aren't heavy either ;)

nice car :) one of the best new cars to come out in a while

seems like its ready to be tuned from factoryare litchfield doing everything

Litchfield are fitting the parts in one go. I organised a group buy on the ECUtek package and have added a few bits onto the list. It rides a little to high so a 30mm drop should settle that. They are well known for their suspension setups so I thought it'd be good to combine them in one visit :)) A link to the suspension stuff

It'll push a bit more power in stock form. I don't want to do too much to it ATM as I can't afford too much extra. A tune and full exhaust will see around 25bhp and 10-15lb.ft torque almost throughout the range. I won't go that far, at least for now. The exhaust manifold should really help.

Being a boxer, cams would be expensive as there's 4 of them and would require an engine out to fit. The service manual suggests that even spark plugs are engine out for example!

There is already a half decent turbo kit (AVO) which is being tested in the US and Japan. Fensport are about to start testing it here in the UK. Litchfield have got a supercharged BRZ running, which I look forward to driving when I go in January. It'll also be at the Autosport show if anyone is going.

DONE

Brilliant mate, thought you would get one after seeing your posts in a few concept video's I posted.

Brilliant tuning platform, love these cars. Seriously thinking about getting one in the not too distant future.

surely this has dangerously high comp for boost but as far a your plans sure seems it'd be decent track car to say the least anyway hopefully everything won't be too complicated I mean engine out to change plugs is a bit far unless engine out is easy in this car still as with most new things you live and learn

Compression is high so all the boosted options are low boost at the moment (< 8psi) but that should keep the throttle response up. Most are about 250rwhp too so easily enough power. I'll save the money on mods and just put it towards trackdays. Trackday insurance isn't cheap on these ;)

TBH, I'm happy with the car the way it is pretty much. It's a far nicer car to travel in than the EK9 was and is easily as fun when I want it to be.

I hate you so much, I absolutely love this car and If i could buy it you have the colour I want :) What a car, absolutely love everything about these cars.. by far one of the nicest designed cars in many years. Best of luck with that Beauty

The design has grown on me , with some simple mods they look great !

All the best with it man :nice:

its a mini BMW 650i to me. with no power.

Haha come on mate its the guys pride and joy. I no entitled to opinons and all that but thats below the belt because that is one ugly car!
Lovely car mate! Liked these when i first seen them at my local dealer. At least toyota have had the balls to market somthing like this which is more than i csn say for honda of late.

Personally I'm on the fence with it. It's not really that special isit?
I think they are playing on the popularity of the old version just to sell it. Obviously working as all the tuners have got hold of them and befor you know it Thers a real market for these.
