My EK coupe build up

I was just kidding, but i might pop up man :) Ah cool, if there's anything else i can do, just gimme a shout :)

Haha, yeah you should! Really need to get the finger out and get the bits and bobs sorted on this.. Really can't be bothered with the car anymore :(

we both need to get on track soon :) i cant be bothered with mine either mate lol but this is to good to let go

Haha:p

Dean I'm booked up for the Monster Unit trackday on the 2nd of August, I'm sure there's still spaces.. you should sign up!

If this rain buggers off then I'll get a few of the jobs done on the car and hopefully feel a bit happier with it, think I would end up regretting it if I did get rid of it!

pm me details dude :) wonder if my car will be sorted by then lol

They've got a thing on Facebook about it mate, it's a 2 hour session, 6-8pm and its £100, £50 deposit needs to be put down by the middle of next month. Should be a good night!

What's the car needing?

Decent pads , preferably a decent seat and harness for being thrown about

I've got EBC yellowstuffs on the front of mine, heard good reviews about them and they were only £80odd off eBay. Tbh you'd get away with using the seat you bought off me, only thing I found with it was that I could have done with a harness to hold me in a bit tighter

yeah bud had yellowstuff pads before and were decent will need to get looking, sold the bride seat a while back mate as it was just getting minging rolling in and out at the garage etc plus i want a fixed seat :)

Ahh I see! I know what you mean about keeping the set clean, I used to have that's problem too when I was wearing my work stuff in the car

May aswell share what I've been up to with this recently
As I said in my last update I got some suede material off my mate so used that one the doorcards to freshen them up a bit, look a lot tidier now!

Also got a new drivers window regulator and a couple of other boring bits like that. Then stripped the car out to hunt down the source of the water leak into the drivers footwell, found the sunroof drain hose was disconnected and was filling the footwell up when it rained lol, seems much better now but I've noticed a small leak from the aerial area so I need to look into that now.
Decided to remove the sound deadening since the interior was out.. worst job ever! Gonna get the inside painted soon to tidy it all up
When I was stripping it I noticed a bit of surface rust on the inner arches:((

Rubbed it all back, rust treated it, primered, painted and waxoiled it and it now looks like this

Should be good for another few years now!

Last real update has been fitting my Defi gauges which I've had sitting around for about 2 years, look brilliant and also show how inaccurate the standard temp gauge is! Look brilliant at night when theyre illuminated too

Really need to update this since things have been happening and I've neglected this!

Cars been off the road for a couple of months to keep it away from the salt and crap on the roads so I've started doing a few bits and pieces to it...

First thing was to replace the valves in my wheels cause the front ones were leaking, ended up buying Volk ones just to make sure they would fit... Cost far too much!!

Also bought my mate Adam's braided brake hoses a few months ago, they run inside the car and will eliminate all the copper piping so hopefully will give a good pedal feel once I get round to fitting them
Had to buy new rear camber arms cause mine were seized solid :( bought stevieshen's eibach spc ones which are in great condition

Also treated myself to an early Christmas present at the end of November...

The cage out of my mate Martin's B20 ITR he was breaking, can't wait to fit it! My sunroof bung arrived yesterday so I'm gonna organise getting that fitted sometime in the next few weeks and go from there. Going to start using the car again in March, then I'll get the cage and hoses fitted

Neglected this again!

My sunroof bung turned up a wee while ago

The car is currently away getting the bung fitted and a few bits painted so will hopefully be back in a couple of weeks

Before it went away I stripped it out in preparation for the cage and decided to tuck the wiring on the parcel shelf to neaten up the inside a bit. Went from this

Also test fitted the main hoop of the cage, looks like its gonna sit a couple of inches off the roof so I'm planning on building small box sections for the cage to sit on... It's a pain but will be worth it IMO

looking forward to fitting it but will need to work out how to make it work with my gauges as I'd need to run 2 sandwich plates if I keep the setup I have just now, will that be ok?

May aswell give this an update

Got the car back from the bodyshop last night, the work thats been done is fantastic!

Still got a fair chunk of work to do before the monster unit trackday at the end of the month, got the cage test fitted tonight so it's getting there. Just got to do a couple of modifications to make it fit 100% and that'll be sorted!
