My EK coupe build up

ofcourse mate :) although car hasnt moved in a bit because of the weather :(

Dean

Cheers mate:nice:

I know what you mean Dean, not had a proper drive in mine for about a month and a half:(

Car is looking great Steve! :) will be great once its been mapped by Henry, he will have it running well sweet! :)

Thanks mate:nice:

Dropped the car off at Henry's earlier on for the remap, should find out tomorow how he's got on:nerv:

Picked up the car from Henrys today, idle all sorted :D feels like a completly different car to drive now, feels like it should have done 2 years ago! Was remapped when it was there and made 198.8bhp and 140.4lb/ft at the flywheel which I'm pretty happy with. Feels a lot punchier on the road which i care about more tbh. Just a shame the crap weather is here so I'll not get to drive it again till next year :(

Nice car I just bought a civic coupe si converting it to a b18. Where did you get them rear lights?

Cheers! I got the lights off eBay, theyre OEM Honda ones so you could get them from a Honda dealership if youre feeling rich.. or just wait for a set to come up online which worked out a hell of a lot cheaper!!

May aswell give this a bit of an update too
Only driven the car once since the remap which is starting to drive me mad! So seeing as its tucked away in the garage I decided to do a few wee jobs which have been bothering me for a while.

Touched up the underseal in a few places where I've caught the car on speedbumps, then cleaned up the Function7's and painted the calipers etc to keep my OCD happy:lol: Was needing new front brakes as the discs were warped so went for EBC Yellowstuff pads with Mtec slotted discs after a few recommendations from friends/on here, not had a chance to use them yet but I'm hopeful theyll be good!
Also fixed the slight blow in my manifold.. again from all the speedbumps around Edinburgh:angry2: Then fitted the wiring and sensors/sandwich plate for my gauges, gonna remove the interior to remove the sound deadening and paint the interior so will fit the gauge unit itself once I've done that... not totally sure where to take the feeds etc from so if anyone can advise me about that then it would be appreciated!

Hoping to get the car back on the road the start of next month and actually get some use out of it this year:D

Got the car out of hibernation today and took it for a wee drive... god I've missed it!
Shite iphone pic time

Only took it to the jetwash so not had a proper chance to bed the brakes in yet but they already feel fantastic, should feel even better after I've done a few more miles in it. They look good too IMO

Car looks sweet mate! seen it about Edinburgh a few times. Aint much clearance with your brakes lol did you do the headlight loom tuck yourself? want to do mine but dont have the balls to start.

Cheers mate! Lol, nah theres not a huge amount of clearance with the brakes
The wire tuck was done by Gerry at Performancetek as the car was being resprayed by the guy in the unit next to him, so made sense to just get it done when the front wings were off... I would have done it myself otherwise

I wouldnt think it would be too bad a job, just take your time with it and you should be fine:nice:

Cheers!

Not updated this in ages. Not much has been happening with the car recently, retrimmed my doorcard with some suede material my mate had lying about, also replaced all the speakers too cause a couple of them were starting to crackle a bit
At the moment I've got pretty much all the interior out to find a couple of water leaks into the car so it's not looking its best, decided to remove the sound deadening and clean up the rear inner arches cause a bit of surface rust has started there :( gonna then get the interior painted to clean it up a bit

Hopefully get my finger out and have a decent update soon!

You need to take me out in this again dude ;) Did you manage to get the cluster fixed?

No problem mate, I've got a trackday on the 2nd of August.. You should come up :nice: nah not yet lol, got another fuel gauge to try but not got round to fitting it yet
