My day trip to Mclaren!!

evening all,

last week a couple of us from work made the trip down to Mclaren in Woking, one of the guys i work with, his brother works in the engine building room and had arranged for a visit.

the sub divisions we visited turned the standard road going MP4-12's into GT3 spec cars ready for race teams and the main servicing centre for mclaren.

just thought i'd share these pics as some of them are pretty cool :nice:

Would you say it'd be hard to get work in there? Probably need a first class honors in mechanical engineering at least.
Out of interest, what degree does your buddy have?

That is one petrol head nirvana for sure! Who has the money to race these things though? That's crazy money..
 
your should of told them to stop pissing about with revolutionary f1 cars every year and just improve on what they had the previous year!

motorsport engineering degree, one thing that did surprise me was the wages for fully qualified technicians were not that great considering the cost of living in Woking.
