So where do we start, I've had this car about 6 months now. Since we're in lockdown and I'm bored heres a bit of progress so far..

Car is an ej9, on 90k next to no rust.
Undersealed by last owner, my mate lol.

As this is my sole car its not going full racecar, I'm taking inspiration from clubsports and keeping fairly oem+ until I get another car and an engine swap for this then maybe things will change we shall see.

Has a few mods already:
Bc coilovers
Dc5 red recaros
Quaiffe gear knob
Momo 280mm steering wheel
15x8 ultralight wheels wrapped in uniroyal rainsport 3's
Vti lip kit
Big ass X-brace
Custom exhaust sounds deep! Not too loud..
Custom intake
Half rad
Ching chong hose kit
Only a d14 atm so whatever lol

Since I've had the car she's had a fresh service, new rear speakers as I blew the old ones in like 3 days I think. The dreaded window motor problem fixed, now the other has shat itself lol. Changed the exhaust. Swapped the dc2 seats for my mates dc5 ones as I prefer them. Fitted my x-brace, finally and what a nightmare that was!

Heres some pics..

Do I put this lip back on? Can't decide..

Tomorrow the car is getting machine polished and wax'd so will get some pics then as long as the forecast stays as is..

Will be doing a few little bits over Christmas period, nothing major until next year but will post up progress.

Hope yall like

The civic started leaking, like a lot! Like 2 inch deep in the wheel well.

After scratching my head a lot and reading many posts about this I ordered genuine tail light gaskets from tegiwa. Didn't fix the problem. Only ever leaked in driven rain so more reading, found that the seam sealer likes to crack so time to check and this is what I found.

And around the boot hinges

After a bit of reading I heard sikaflex was the thing to use but couldn't find any and wanted it done so I get second best and got tiger seal. Its black but ill be painting over the bits you will see with a touch up pen.. well its all pretty hidden tbh but just so when you open the boot it isn't an eyesore

Seriously messy job it gets everywhere lol. It ain't pretty but should do the job and the paint will hide it when I get round to it.. also got rid of that stupid spoiler tilt as water was pouring in from where the spacers were and I never really liked the tilt so I think that might be problem solved (touch wood)

Tigerseal is good stuff, I have used the same for my A-Pillar to bulkhead seam and it’s been spot on

Is this behind the dash/glovebox? I've had a leak in my passenger footwell for ages and tiger seal into the windscreen seal didn't fix it, so assume it is this.

When I were doing my research on leaks I found one that comes straight through the bulkhead under the dash behind the heater matrix... seems to be a common one

Always found Screwfix to stock Sikaflex.

Is that lip the PU Design GV one, looks good, contrast is nice against the sliver, I'd say put that one on. Its a little different to what we are used to seeing

I believe so, it came with the car and it kinda got damaged when I went off road haha im in the middle of repairing it atm.. I think when I get my carbon mirrors on it will look better...

Yeah I think it’s really common, I managed to lie under neath and I found a hairline crack in the old seam sealer there with a water droplet hanging

mine started doing it aswell out of no where, i thought it was coming in from where the loom goes into the car. Im going to try tiger seal it up.

Yeah, seems to be common.. looks a pain in the arse as you may have to remove heater matrix to get to it.. only what I've read when I were bored haha mine was in the back..

Mines boot lid only at the moment.

Do you have spoiler tilt? Mine was leaking in there quiet a bit.. also one to check is the rubber obviously and for cracks around the hinge mounts.. I'm becoming a pro with leaks haha

After my winter mop and wax went for a drive up new forest for some pics

Nice Build lad.
Great colour in these cars.
The red X-brace contrasts really well with the oe colour.
