My 98 CW EK9

Small Update:

Goodridge Braided lines and ATE Superblue purchased to improve the braking feel and reduce fade…hopefully!

Also, will get a master cylinder brace.

In the process of giving my engine bay a thorough clean and decided that I'm going to get the radiator/ AC and other removable brackets painted as they look a bit tired, was thinking of the following colours:

  • OEM silver finish
  • Black (Gloss or Metallic)
  • Purple - same as my D2 LCA

Thoughts/ other ideas?

Purple would be quite cool...but think il go OEM silver or black.

Got this trackday at the end of the month, so decided to focus on my brakes. Flushed brake fluid and now using ATE Superblue which should handle the heat better and also fitted goodridge braided lines all round.

Also gave my new callipers a lick of paint to match the carriers:

Also looking at getting a Master Cylinder brace (Tegiwa)...can anyone confirm if it will fit in my bay as i think it looks mega tight...im running a tegiwa whale shlong.

Had the car up at Knockhill last week for the MonsterUnit track night, which was amazing. The car handled excellent, brakes were good and car felt fast enough for the track…(for the time being)
This was my first time driving my own car on track and I feel this could become a new hobby. For next time I think il invest in a set of track rubber.
Here are some pictures from some people who were spectating and a video from early in the session on my GoPro before the battery died. (thanks to those who took the photos)

Thanks dude! :)

Engine is stock b16b, i was very impressed with how it pulled.

Im running an oem 98 spec manifold, de-cat and Spoon N1 cat-back, with a tegiwa whale shlong intake. Im considering changing the intake to a DC2 intake.

Managed to source some R888 track rubber for the ITR rims I purchased.

Hoping to get back on track on 31st August. Will be interesting to see how the R888 compares to the T1R’s after a few laps.

Recently participated in a photoshoot with Paul J Smith with a load of other white type r’s. Was a great day and some very impressive cars.

Anyway, more than chuffed with some of the results that have popped up.
